Alpha
Leader of the clan. Accepts new members and watches over the clan. Makes all final decisions about the clan's actions. "We found love in a hopeless place." ~We Found Love by Rihanna The first member and Alpha of the clan. Eminence is calm, wise, and kind. She never treats any of her members with injustice, even if they deserve it. She is seen as a mother figure by the other dragons since she is normally gentle and treats everyone in her clan equally. Sometimes dragons from other flights make fun of the clan for "having a Fae dragon as leader", but Eminence never loses her cool with them. Of course, those who make fun of the clan's leader will not get off so easily. Almost the entire clan wouldn't hesitate to give a dragon several bruises and scratches for making fun of their Alpha. Though Eminence hates using violence, several clan members believe her to be one of the strongest dragons in the clan. She is also thought to have a hidden childish side where occasionally she sneaks around the lair and lightly tricks and teases the other dragons. This rumor started to try and explain the disappearance of some dragons' lunch and then finding it later in the strangest places. Backstory Eminence's backstory is a mystery even to herself. She doesn't remember having parents or even what her childhood was like. All she can remember is seeing a green and yellow fae at some point in the past. Some say she was created by the Arcanist for the purpose of reviving the Zodiac Heights clan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You are led into a large chamber by a brown Mirror dragon. The rock walls of the chamber have been smoothed out and decorated with shining, amber webs of tree sap that sparkled with arcane energy. The first thing you notice when you enter the room is a large rock perch in the center with a small Fae sitting on top of it. The navy-colored Fae had it's back turned to you and was looking at a peculiar image on the far back wall of the chamber. It appeared to be a picture of a multi winged deity made entirely of tree sap webbing. Standing in front of the rock perch, the Mirror cleared his throat to gain the small dragon's attention. The Fae's fins perked up with surprise and she turned around to see the two of you standing there. You noticed how light of a pink color her eyes were. "Eminence, we have a visitor." the Mirror dragon said to the Fae. A bright smile appeared on her face as she nodded at the Mirror in confirmation. The Mirror turned around and walked back towards the entrance to the chamber, leaving you and the Fae to be the only two in the center of the room. The small dragon was surprising expressive for a Fae. "Welcome! My name is Eminence and I'm the Alpha of the Zodiac Heights Clan!" the little dragon greeted you. Her tone was friendly and welcoming. You could feel your guard beginning to lower at the sound of her voice. "It's nice to see someone visiting us today. What is your name, friend? Where are you from?" "My name is (Your Avatar Dragon's Name) from (Your Region). I came here to visit for awhile." you answered. The Fae's head fins lowered with concern. "Oh my! That must've been a long flight. You must be exhausted! Your free to rest within our lair if you need to. Afterwards, you can explore as much as you like." Eminence said. Whether you were exhausted or not, you decided to take the Fae up on her offer. "Thank you." "Basher, could you please show this dragon to our sleeping dens?" she gestured at the Mirror dragon who was sitting next to the entrance the whole time. He nodded at the Fae and gestured at you to follow him. You turned around and walked behind the Mirror into the tunnel out of the chamber. As you exited, Eminence called to you, "I hope you enjoy your visit here! The dragons here are quite a lively bunch!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Relationships Close Friends: Basher, Chibi Family: Mate: Indigo Starfall Celebration When I became Alpha, I promised myself that I would never hurt another soul. But I guess it's true what they say: Some promises are meant to be broken. Eminence was perched in a tree on the edge of the lair, watching the meteors rain down from the heavens and leaving a fuchsia pink trail in their wake. They left near explosive impacts as they showered across the landscape, doting the region with massive craters. The lavender Fae was both frightened and awed by the apocalyptic shower. Thank the Arcanist she ordered everyone to retreat into the underground caves beneath clan territory when she did. Several of her dear members could have been severely injured by the meteors. Many areas of the lair had already been damaged from the meteor shower. “Eminence!" Eminence whipped around towards the voice that called her name. She saw the clan Omega dashing towards her and nearly dodging a stray meteorite that whizzed past. "Indigo?!" the Fae gasped as her eyes grew wide. "What are you doing here?! You're suppose to be underground with the rest of the clan!" "So are you!” the Mirror yelled back as he reached the tree she was sitting in. “What are you doing out here?! The clan will fall into a blind panic if they notice that you are missing!” Eminence looked back out at the chaos laid before her and released a sigh, knowing that she couldn’t hide her plans from Indigo. Turning her attention back to the Mirror, she answered: “This week is the Starfall Celebration, which means the theme for this week’s Hunger Games will be based off our flight’s festival. Were the circumstances less…doomful, then I’d gladly let any of our willing clan members participate in the Games. But I refuse to send anyone from my clan out in this chaos. So…” A sternness no one knew she was capable of speaking harden around her tone when she uttered the next sentence. “…I will be volunteering as tribute for Starfall Celebration Hunger Games.” “What?!” Indigo exclaimed in utter disbelief, unable to believe what he just heard. For any dragon of the Zodiac Heights Clan, it was a horrible nightmare to send their Alpha anywhere near danger. Especially towards certain death. “Eminence, no! You can’t participate in the Hunger Games! You are the Alpha; you are like a mother to your clan! If they hear news about you entering those deadly Games, it will surely break them! We need you here with the clan!” “I know, Indigo.” Eminence’s response was serious and calm. “I know how much I mean to my dear members. You all mean just as much to me; there is absolutely nothing I value more in this world than my clan. That is why I must represent them in this week’s Hunger Games. This is the first time our clan gets to celebrate the Starfall Celebration. I don’t want memories of this festival to be fearful and full of hiding. I want them to remember this celebration as more than just a time of danger.” “Eminence…” Indigo didn’t know how to respond. He so badly wanted to persuade her to stay. But she spoke so fondly of her clan and it was clear to him that her faith in her clan was absolute. He couldn’t possibly hope to change her mind when his own faith in the Zodiac Heights Clan was dim and filled with uncertainty. All he could do was silently step back, not wanting to taint her unshakable loyalty. Indigo felt a sudden change in magic around him. An invisible wall of arcane energy imbued with a powerful spell had formed around the clan’s territory. When the Mirror looked up at Eminence, she had a single hand raised above her hand from which wisps of pink magic danced around. She spoke once more as the wisps began to vanish. “Make sure everyone stays underground while I am gone.
