He met Siren back when he was working as an undercover informant that was gathering evidence to put away tavern owners without an alcohol license or who were committing illegal activities within their tavern. He had posed as a patron and had heard about a special service this tavern was offering, however what he found was Siren, a very young dragon (pretty much hatchling) being tasked with a job waaaay too mature for a kid. He struck a deal with Siren; help him put away this wanted owner and he'll give him a job that won't put him in this kind of situation again. Some of Siren's espionage tricks were learned from Viridis.
