WITHIN THE CAVERNS:
In the cavernous reaches of the clan stores works a slightly odd coatl. She's the same one you saw earlier with the
clan matriarch in the alchemy station. If you ask around, her den-mates will tell you that she's selectively mute, as she finds regular draconic difficult to speak. Abandoned as a hatchling for her unlucky coloration, she has found purpose and family with these folk, though she has lost the Coatl language through her upbringing by a pair of Fae. The other Coatl have been trying to teach her, but she's stubborn about it.

She chirrups a sound you think might be a greeting, and you greet her politely back. Here in the clan hoard, there is a lot of noise. Two artificial ponds have gentle bubblers, an aquarium sits against the wall. Pots are everywhere, growing fresh delicacies for veggie-dragons. Terrariums are also everywhere, carefully screened with fine wire mesh to keep the insects inside. There are pens for animals, and a huge wire-mesh cage for birds, three times the size of a Guardian. There are also shelves, with pickling and other preserves, where Kirakira is carefully replacing the jar of pickled minnows they were using for alchemy earlier. You can see beyond the food stores, where the piles of random junk are much less well-organized, but you think it might be time to move on.
