8a6TOhn.gif -Altair hails from a Mirror pack that lives out on the snowplains; however, the only member of Clan Gemheart that knows this is Almas.

-As the smallest and weakest member of the pack, she was always the victim of bullying and threats of being left behind by the other pack members.

-Is indirectly responsible for Almas's transformation by the Heart into a "Gaoler", as it was her who told her former packmates about the Heart's presence in the ice cavern carved into one of the spires of the Fortress of Ends.

-While she had hoped that her help in finding something extremely valuable would stop her packmates' torment, it did anything but.

-The two scouts that had been sent to collect samples of the Heart condemned the place as cursed, blaming her for not knowing that Almas was there or that the Heart wielded powerful magic.

-As such, the rest of the pack ganged up on her, attacking her and leaving her to die as they fled further out on the snowplains to avoid Almas and the Heart's magic.

-It was Almas who found her, taking her in so that the Heart could save her just as they did for him.

-While neither really trusted each other at first, it soon became clear that neither would harm the other, and since she knew her old pack would kill her if they ever saw her again, she decided to stay with Almas, becoming the second member of Clan Gemheart.

-She hates talking about her past, and anyone that deigns to ask her about it is met with a snarl threatening to claw their faces off. She hasn't had to actually do it yet.

-While her Heart Curse may not be as impressive as that of most others, it is all that she wanted and she is content with it.
