No-one quite knows where Strix came from. He showed up at the clan one day asking if anyone had seen his friend, only to be told that said friend had travelled all the way to the Viridian Labyrinth and was unlikely to come back. Not really knowing what to do with himself (or caring too much about his current situation), he remained with Clan Morganite and tried to move on.

Strix is naive in matters of the heart and oblivious in social situations. However, he is exceptionally patient and friendly, and as a result, no-one minds his occasional slip-ups. Strix is simple in terms of his likes - he would be the first to say it does not take much to make him happy. He likes warm food and drink, and he loves napping in the sun. He also heartily enjoys festivals despite his lack of historical and cultural knowledge, taking it as an excuse to make merry and have fun.
What knowledge Strix lacks in the cultural department, however, is compensated by his incredible geographical knowledge. Once he has been down a route once he will remember it, astonishingly, in perfect detail, down to the direction he travelled down it and the materials that can be gathered from it. He has a perfect sense of direction that he says he inherited from an ancient ancestor, of whom he carries the compass of around his neck. Considering his natural co-ordination, though, he rarely has to actually use it.
He is also a skilled hunter and a decent fighter. He knows everything there is to know about traps and sword technique, though his form is a little clumsy and inelegant.
