Charlemagne is an overbearing father figure type plagued by prophetic visions and crushing anxiety. He's trained himself in most forms of physical combat in an attempt to quell his fear and be prepared for any threat, perceived or real. He likes to think he's the de facto clan leader, as his Charge is actually the entire Halcyon Sound. While he can be a bit too much at times, the clan inhabiting the Sound generally agrees that at least his heart (and claws) are in the right place.

His instinct to put the need of the clan ahead of the need of the few often strain his personal relationships.

PAST:

Charlemagne was exalted almost at once, after hatching. As a young guardian, he served the Lightweaver's army well; when he fell in battle, consumed by the Shade, the Lightweaver took pity on him, attached the blades to his wings to dispel the effects of the Shade, and let Charlemagne start a new life on Sornieth.
