Maple is a rather materialistic dragon with a passion for collecting and selling interesting items. Like all ridgeback dragons, she has a tendency to occasionally "borrow" from other dragons without their permission; she tries (with varying levels of success) to make a honest living for the most part though.

Also like other members of her breed, Maple mainly relies on her size and sharp spines in battle. She is not a particularly great fighter however (although she sure wishes she were).

What she is though is a fairly skilled merchant, who leads a small band of traders with mixed histories and values. Despite her business and general savviness, the Ridgeback's risky gambling habits and spending urges often result in her clan losing much of what they earn, to her subordinates' extreme dismay...
