As a member of a nature clan, Sycamore's job is very important indeed. Not only is he in charge of maintaining the whole forest and which plants are allowed to grow there, but he also has to command a whole team of gardeners, who have a tendency to disagree and talk back to him. As most important positions go, it stresses him out greatly, but in the end his love of plants and the clan itself keeps it feeling fulfilling.

While for the most part he makes sure that all poisonous plants found on clan premises are exterminated as soon as possible, this doesn't seem to extend to the private garden he keeps in a fenced of area behind his tent. This area, known by many as "The Garden of Death" is filled with toxic plants of all varieties, which Sycamore uses for his research. He won't disclose what he plans to do with said research, but he's very wary of letting anyone else come into contact with the plants he keeps, especially his children.

Sycamore is the father of a pair of rambunctious mirror twins, Mantis and Moth, whom he adopted from plague territory. While being a dad is new to him, he's taken to it like a natural and is kind, gentle, if not a little overbearing around both kids. He does have a tendency to embarrass them by fussing over them in public, however, and while the twins don't agree on much, the one thing they do see eye to eye on is that their dad is a huge dork.
