They say Embark was born within the entwining roots of the Behemoth, her egg protected from the elements and predators by the massive tree. After birth, she wandered as Guardians are charged to do at birth, until she happened upon the grove the rest of her clan would come to call 'home.' This is, however, not the whole story... When Embark was born, she was alone, just as if she had been born under the watch of the Behemoth. With little else in the world but her internal drive to protect, she wandered the forests until she stumbled upon a clan headed by a Wildclaw, Siron, and his mates. At first, the clan was receptive of the young, headstrong guardian. If anything, Siron was impressed the hatchling had made it so far on her own through the often unforgiving wilds. However, it became clear to him that Embark would not submit to her role and duty within his clan. Embark found that she fancied one of Siron's dedicated mates, a delicate Imperial named Tulor. A flight of adolescent fancy, Embark would stick close to Tul's side whenever they ventured out for scavenging, found herself hinging on the Imperial's every word and action. Embark's fancy was not overlooked by Siron who, in a jealous fit, challenged and bested the young Embark. After, he cast her back out into the Viridian Labyrinth, effectively banishing the Guardian from her first home and love. When Tulor went to intervene and chase after Embark, Siron knew he had to completely take out what threatened his position in the clan, and sent out his warriors to destroy Embark without Tul's knowledge. |

Alone once more and only a few month's old, the Guardian escaped the pursuing wildclaws Siron had sent after her by escaping into the waters of the Everbloom Garden. In her natural born element, Embark was at the advantage and was able to drive her pursuers back, especially after the intervention of Embark's first ally: Noeul, the Mirror. Wounded, it was with Noeul's help that Embark established their initial glade until they decided to push farther into their Viridian Labyrinth, settling within the thick forests of the Shrieking Wilds.
