After Arcana had forged an alliance with a Shadow clan he returned to his lair to find Scry had been following him the entire way. Whether Scry had been sent by his previous clan or if he had spontaneously tracked Arcana has never been figured out (or, more likely, decided), but Arcana was happy to take on the energetic dragon as an assistant in his continued studies on the mystic elements of the forest. However Scry did not find the role fulfilling or particularly interesting, opting instead to chase the wild inhabitants of the forest, or to visit nearby clans to develop new bonds of friendship.

Once his charisma and odd talents came to light, Scry was appointed as a liaison for the clan and ambassador to other dragons. This was particularly useful as the two founders were not much for socializing and Scry was able to forge good relations, establish trade and became the first dragon converts would interact with before being accepted into the clan.

While insisting he has no mystic or magical abilities of his own, the other dragons in the clan can attest to his uncanny ability to latch onto dragons who do have mystic gifts. He has predicted which of the hatchlings would venture from the nest, and which would stay to hone their magical and seer abilities. He is also known to roost in busy fairways, eyeing the roaming travelers and swooping in on ones he 'has a feeling' might want to know about his clan.
