Kaisenna the Teacher

When she came to the clan as a trickster with a fiery temper, very few thought she would be doing much with her life. After many failed attempts at carving out a niche for herself, Kaisenna settled herself into life as an outcast in her home. The EchoFlower clan provided safety and security for her and so she didn't leave to find greener pastures. Instead she stuck around for what seemed like a lifetime before a pair of dragons hatched a nest and vanished, leaving their hatchlings behind. Not knowing why she did it, Kaisenna took up the care of the little brood, teaching and nurturing them as she went, drawing from the upbringing she had as a youngster. The skill and dedication she displayed made her an immediate candidate for the teacher and hatch-nurse of the clan. She was no longer an outcast and instead was a vital part of the clan.

When the EchoFlower clan was forced from their home, she lost her long-time mate, a small fae with an equal love of hatchlings. For a long time, Kaisenna thought she would never again have the joy of teaching hatchlings in her makeshift classroom. She wandered, displaced, with the EchoFlower clan until they found the Entfuhren troupe and merged together. There, Kaisenna found her calling again. The troupe had a bundle of hatchlings that Kaisenna took under her wing, grateful to have the direction she craved for so long.

Within the troupe she found Pippet, a snowy white snapper with a penchant for knowledge and the patience of a saint to deal with rowdy hatchlings. Together the pair teach and take care of the hatchlings as the troupe moves. There is nothing Kaisenna adores more than taking care of youngsters and she takes her job seriously. She will put her life down for the safety of her tiny hatchlings. More than once she has gone full fiery fury on those perceived as a threat.

Kaisenna's "momma bear" mode has earned her a reputation. Although some members of the clan remember when she was an outsider, most of them can't remember a time when she wasn't the hatch nurse. Dragons trust her with their hatchlings and therefore trust her judgement.

Pippet: Mate (?) The working relationship between these two snappers has been just that - a working relationship. For most of their time together they've been rounding up rascals and keeping tabs on youngsters with hardly a moment to themselves. But those little moments when all the babes were resting really added up.

Pumpkin: Friend STORY

Blink: Friend Because she knows so much, Kaisenna tends to go to Blink for tales to tell the hatchlings and things to teach them. Blink also likes to take care of particularly bookish youngsters and can sometimes be seen writing while a hatchling curls up beside her, reading a book.

Gus: Friend Everyone's favorite Uncle Gus is also Kaisenna's favorite. She gets along with the nature-born snapper like a wildfire. The hatchlings adore him as well, and he is frequently seen wrangling babies with the two other snappers.

Matcha: Friend Tea time with Matcha is always an adventure and Kaisenna loves the little side-track the wildclaw affords her. When there is a particularly good brew, Kaisenna likes to share with the hatchlings she tends to.

Kaisenna tends to hoard the items given to her by hatchlings, and thus has a hoard of nonsense. To her, each item is its own treasure. She can't hold everything she wants now that she's on the move so often but she tries to keep a claw on everything that really means something.
