“Starting this clan, it wasn’t in my plans or anything, I’d never thought about, I barely noticed I had started a clan really, we started out as a few dragons looking for a place to call home. That sounds really cheesy doesn’t it?”

“The clan I was raised in, they killed my original clan and took the eggs as, trophies and of course just to have more power. Anyway, the clan was awful, it was more like a bunch of rogue dragons occupying one space, constant fighting, death was almost a constant.

The leader didn’t care, she was proud of her power over the others, no one ever dare challenged her. ‘It’s how dragons are, they have always been warring creatures’ she told me. I’m glad I never believed her, she had her head to far up her own *ahem* to see the world as it really is.

I decided to leave after a few years, it wasn’t taken well, the only thing everyone in the clan seemed to agree on was that leaving your clan was a cardinal sin, unless you were going away to fight, it’s funny though, there was probably more fighting in that clan than at actual war. As you can imagine, a few dragons tried to ‘correct me’ I’d spent my life avoiding battles though and they couldn’t touch me.

I knew if I left without telling the leader she would without a doubt send other’s after me, I mean, she did anyway but not the point, she was furious, more angry than I’d ever seen her, she claimed that she owned me, that I owed her my life and that I should be thankful I didn’t die along with the rest of my clan. I hadn’t known before that they were killed, she’d told me that they’d found my egg abandoned in an empty lair but I don’t think I ever believed that.”
