She was first discovered by the locals a few hundred years ago. Already old and growing into the earth, she answered the questions they asked in slow, deep tones. The forest is her charge. The earth is her body. Occasionally, she stands to defend her territory, but those times are becoming few and far between. Most of her children have gone. Either dead or with the Gladekeeper now. Those that are left remain to protect the charge. She misses Kirea. She misses Coeus. She is dying.
