Geode

Geode is afflicted with a rare and aggressive form of gembond disease, one that stumps the clan's pathologist and healers. Her skin is near impenetrable, flecked with granite. Quartz crystals sprout on her back and threaten to completely overtake her wings. Many find her condition worrisome, but Geode herself doesn't mind. The crystals help her store and channel magic. She's prettier this way, too, and after all, it's not like she was using her wings for anything. It's rather nice to have such lovely decorations that sparkle and chime with her every step.

Having no ancestral migration routes to follow in the clan's territories, Geode has decided to blaze her own trail, and create an annotated map and encyclopedia of the geology of the area. She tirelessly roams the clan's territory, with George, her faithful Granite Guardian, riding on her back. He doesn't mind her rocky hide, being quite crystalline and sturdy himself. She dictates her notes and observations to him, and he transcribes it all into a huge book, occasionally taking compass readings and digging up soil and rock samples for later analysis.
