Sycamore was a eldest of many siblings, born and raised into a very loving and caring family. They never formally lived in a clan, but they always welcomed other dragons to live with them. Her family often nurtured other hatchlings, who had been abandoned or had lost their parents. They adopted injured Mirror dragons until they were fully healed. All the “members” of their clan often only stayed for a short while, but so many flocked to their temporary retreat that the clan was always full of dragons. Sycamore helped her parents take care of both her siblings as well as the other dragons who stayed in their clan, knowing that her parents would be much too overwhelmed to do both by themselves.

When Sycamore grew older, however, she longed to travel to someplace new. Though she loved her home, she also wanted to make a clan of her own where dragons didn’t just stay for a short while and then leave. By this time, many of her siblings had grown up and were old enough to take care of themselves and also help their parents. And so, Sycamore decided to leave her home, after gaining the approval and support of her family members.

While in her journey to find a proper place that could support a large clan, she met another Tundra named Oak, who was also looking for a new home. She and Oak joined together in their search, deciding that having each other’s company would be nice. They grew closer in time, eventually falling in love. Finally, after much time searching Dragonhome, they found a small forest in Greatwyrm’s Breach. When they landed to explore the place, they met an Hemlock, and old Tundra who had been taking care of the forest by himself. Deciding that this would be the perfect place to start their clan, they helped Hemlock take care of the plants and animals. The forest grew bigger through their combined efforts.

Sycamore and Oak had their first child soon after they settled down in the forest, a boy whom they named Ash. Thus, the first member of their new clan was born. They invited Hemlock to join them, and he happily accepted. As time passed, new members began to appear, finding the forest a refuge from the harsher world outside. Their clan grew in size, and as it did, so did the forest. Life prospered in the forest as more and more dragons came in settled down.

Though Sycamore isn’t against dragons who plan to stay only for a temporary amount of time, most of the dragons who find the forest often don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. Loving all dragons equally and wanting to give everyone a fair chance, she will accept everyone regardless of history. As long as the dragon is willing to help out around the forest, they will accept them will open arms. Sycamore believes strongly in second chances and redeemability. She believes in the good in every dragon and is tries to give these dragons as many opportunities as she can to better themselves.
