Venusaur spent her childhood wandering with her troupe, a clan of Snappers specializing in healing magic. They followed an ancient path winding through Nature and Earth territories, discovering new ways of healing in the Viridian Forest and unearthing history in Dragonhome. Venusaur distinguished herself as one of the physically strongest of the Snappers, a quality not well admired in the troupe. Despite the troupe's negative perception of power, Venusaur was very sweet to others.

Venusaur found Genesect on her travels; he was abandoned by his pack for getting wounded while hunting. Though Venusaur heard tales of cruelty and viciousness, she never was a witness to such acts like this. While she could heal the injured Mirror on her own, she was not as skilled as the elders and was scared she would injure Genesect further. Venusaur lifted Genesect on her back and quickly caught up with her troupe.

After days of waiting, Genesect finally awoke. He immediately panicked, scratching Venusaur in the process. The elders swiftly calmed him down enough to explain where he was. Genesect appeared alarmed that he had passed out, explaining that he could never return to his pack now that he had shown weakness. Venusaur offered him a place in her troupe until he could find a new pack, as Genesect was still drained from his injuries. Genesect eagerly accepted, not wanting to be alone again and desiring to be as far away from his old clan as possible.

Throughout their time searching for a pack for Genesect, he and Venusaur chatted a lot. Genesect told her all about his old pack, a cutthroat pack who only cared for strength and anyone deemed weak would be chased out or killed with no hesitation. While Venusaur felt disgusted by Genesect's old pack, she found herself enthralled by his tales of mountains with peaks so high you can barely breathe and caves lit with glowing plants and fungus. Venusaur never strayed off the troupe's path; she had always seen the same sights for her whole life. She soon found her mind wandering to all the places Genesect described. They hatched a plan to slip away in the dead of the night and find their own clan to serve.

Wandering through new domains both frightened and exhilarated Venusaur. For the first time in her life, she had no idea what she was doing. She spotted a cairn faintly glowing in the distance, reminding Venusaur of Genesect's extravagant tales. She galloped towards it despite Genesect's screeches of protest. They found themselves in a natural maze, fracturing in different directions. Through sheer dumb luck, they discovered a haunted burial site of an ancient clan. The ghosts turned out to be friendly, so Venusaur and Genesect decided to start a clan in the old cairn.

In this strange new home, Venusaur and Genesect set out to make this cairn livable. The ghosts haunting the site welcomed the new guests, wanting something new to happen after centuries of talking to the same dragons. After several days of hard work, they could accept any dragons seeking a fresh start, provided they could get past the cairn's previous occupants. Venusaur was finally content with her life; fresh experiences and new faces awaited her every day. Plus she could nap all she wanted!

Venusaur hails from an old troupe of Snappers that specializes in healing magic. Following the old path throughout Dragonhome and Viridian Labyrinth, Venusaur's troupe roamed the land spreading their ancient knowledge of healing with other dragons. Venusaur carries the knowledge of healing despite being an Earth dragon.
Venusaur first came across Genesect after he was gravely injured by a hunt gone wrong. Knowing that she did not possess the knowledge to correctly heal all of his wounds properly, Venusaur carried him to her troupe. Genesect was healed of his injuries, but was knocked out from exhaustion and would not be able to fend for himself for a while. Though the troupe did not want to leave him behind for fear of his attacker returning, they were unsure what to do with him. Being the most sturdy of the troupe, Venusaur volunteered to let Genesect rest on her back for the time being. Continuing on the old path, Genesect soon arouse in a panicked state. He begged to go as far away as possible from his old pack; he was certain they would kill him for failing to defend the pack. Venusaur relented; allowing Genesect to follow the troupe until he felt safe.
Through their many later conversations and exchanges of magical knowledge, Venusaur and Genesect became nearly inseparable. Venusaur learned about Genesect's old pack; their ferocity and cunning horrified her. Genesect often talked about the many lands and caves he explored while hunting
