xxx"...What fresh hell's been invited round here now, Liandrin?"
They say Acrux fell from grace. They say he was exalted, once. They claim, in hushed whispers, that his clan wanted him gone. But Acrux was never one for honour, or blind obedience, or serving a god he'd never met. He won't tell, exactly: Acrux speaks little of his past. Acrux was found, and indeed remains in the Windswept Plateau, lazing away his days on rocks warmed by sunlight, head tilted towards the clink of bamboo chimes in the warm western wind. Many young dragons fear him for his sinewy, powerful frame and great height, suited to a veteran, but in truth Acrux only wishes for a peaceful life. In the clan, Acrux serves as his mate Liandrin's advisor, putting him in a powerful positionin which he'd rather not dabble. The paperwork alone is enough to bear; at least, one good thing about his intimidating looks is that he can always persuade others to handle his dirty work. He enjoys brisk walks and sunny days, animals and gardening, and though lacking in a sense of humour he can appreciate honesty. Still, the older dragons know, of course, not to incur Acrux's wrath. A skilled hawk hides its talons, and the same could always be said for Acrux. While lazy and laid-back, Acrux is also a fierce and natural defender. He eyes newcomers in his clan warily, and has taken to testing their skills himself to secure the future of his Flight. Above all, Acrux prizes deeds above words. He holds nothing back even for his own children, which all grow without fail into well-organised, broad-shouldered adventurers with no regard for authority or deadlines... and a habit of dozing off if left alone for too long.
