TornFromSeas
The Shipwrecked
A soul displaced

Those who know her call her Torn. They know her story - or at least that is what they tell themselves. With a name like hers, it is easy to guess what her story is - a dragon meant for the sea, born in the wrong Flight, living in the wrong territory. She fell from grace, or was perhaps caught in an unlucky storm. A sad tale, they whisper, a sailor who lost it all, a mermaid tragically ripped away from her home...

Torn doesn't care what they say, because they are all wrong.

She doesn't feel the need to tell anyone the truth; instead, she keeps it to herself. She is a private individual, relaxed without the tension of having to prove herself to anyone. Despite this - or, perhaps, because of this - she has a cult following in the Viridian Labyrinth and others think of her as an odd but enticing celebrity. Her calm voice and steady manners are in fact what sway others to follow her lead, even when they pity her. She throws away their pity and takes their will instead. She is ruthlessly hypnotic this way. She wouldn't say it's all an act, because she doesn't act like a dragon to be pitied. She merely allows others to think what they want, making assumptions without correcting them.

There is one truth to what others whisper about her behind their back. Torn is preoccupied with her past to the point of often losing herself in them. She is absent from the present more often than not. Flashbacks take her back to when she was a young wyrm playing alone in the winds of her homelands, watching the ocean far below glint and glimmer in the sun's rays; making up games with the wind and waves to see which element would win. Her most joyful days were the ones which she spent flying in the thermals and studying the surface of the sea shine like glass. She has many fond memories, with which she is constantly reliving and playing.
Her mawkish toys keep her company when no other dragon will.
