"There is always somebody out there looking out for you... even if they are not kin."

As soon as Angel was hatched, she was rejected by her parents who, like most coatls, believe that hatclings with white or grey plumage are bad omens. Exiled from the nest, she flew away into the unknown forest until she could fly no more, crashing into a tree. It was then when she was found by Falconwing, who was taking her usual route to the river when she saw the young dragonet. She picked up Angel, murmuring in soothing tones to her, and flew her to the lair, where she was fussed over and cleaned by many other dragons.

She was welcomed into the clan with open wings and found herself in a place she could call home. But she was still unhappy and would sob for hours in a corner, only stopping to eat, drink, or sleep. One day, though, another coatl arrived-Diamond-and at the sight of her crying, walked over and put his wings around her. She looked at him in wonder. She had never known another coatl that had not regarded her as bad luck. Slowly, she stopped crying. As the days went by, she spent more and more time with Diamond, listening to his stories about birds and enjoying conversing with him in their own tongue. She was never more happy then when she spent time with him. And when they grew up, she became his lifelong mate.

Angel loves to study the clouds and can be found on the roof of the lair with Diamond, sunbathing while she watches the fluffy cotton-like clouds in the sky go past. Although she has less of a temper then Diamond, the one thing she cannot bear is skipping a meal. Within a few hours, she gets grumpy and very tempermental. Most of the time, though, she is extremely polite and kind, so much that dragons often guess she was bought up by loving and thoughtful parents. She only shakes her head and smiles, flaring her wings the color of the clouds to catch the light and glow.
