A Humble Apothecary

Mielikki was the spark before the fire, the heartbeat to the lair that many do not acknowledge nor understand. Long ago, in times only she seems to remember, they had resided among the ranks of the Arcanist, where the members of her past clan had become greedy and selfish with their need for knowledge. Whatever happened after, one cannot say, and certainly, Mielikki will not tell them. There is, after all, a limit to things one needs to know, and so she carries the burden of a past long forgotten.

The elder of the lair, this kindly apothecary seems more than content to go about her duties on her own, collecting foxglove and nettle to keep their home stocked. Sometimes, it seems as though she travels as much as their leader, restless and fascinated with the foliage of her homelands of the Emberglow Hearth as she is. Her voice is gentle but wise, her touch firm but motherly, even she does not know what has become of most of her children, but now, she has taken her two latest sons under her wing.

Sons which share the clan leader's wild eyes and confident stride, and while she does not say who their father is, it was no secret with the way which Polaris had doted on the young hatchlings.

Her one and only constant companion is a wickedly smart psywurm she has dubbed Pekko, who lives up to his name with his constant obsession for caring for her herbs and remedies.
