Eleanor
The Graceful Leader
"What is broken can be rebuilt stronger."

Eleanor had stumbled upon the ragtag group of dragons not long after their old clan had collapsed with the exile of their original clan leader- Valen. With no solid leadership in place, many dragons previously in the clan had moved on. Many went on to join the battle for dominance as the clan they once called home crumbled around them. Where once they used their varying skills to build up their lair and add strength to the overall clan, they had turned against one another. The fatherly love Valen had used to bind them to one another had dissolved.

But then came Eleanor. She was young, but a natural leader. It was just supposed to be a visit to the Windswept Plateau, but what was a quick stop at the river one evening for a drink led to her stumbling upon a seemingly abandoned lair within the mouth of a wide cavern. She had pushed her snout through the lichen that overhung the entrance and was dazzled by the colorful lights that shone through the openings in the roof of the cavern through the clan's many stained glass windows. But as she moved farther into the lair, her wonder at the beauty of the lair was warped to sadness and as her eyes were drawn to the floor of the cavern. A sense of apprehension rose in her throat as she took in the shattered glass that littered the floor. Something dark had happened here.

What came next was a lot of snarling and snapping, as the remaining dragons of the now scattered clan faced the intruder. But the snarls soon faded as the lost dragons sensed the aura of goodness that follows Eleanor. The clan members reluctantly opened up to Eleanor about the history of their clan and Eleanor felt the building need to help the small group of dragons.

That's where it began. Eleanor just trying to help, as she always does. Her wisdom and levelheadedness was the perfect balm to smooth the cracks in clan relations. They cleaned up the ruined windows and frames, and set about once more using their skills to help one another. Once the clan was running smoothly once more, Eleanor had originally planned on moving on, but she had become essential to the clan without her even realizing it.

The clan members approached her one starry night to request for her to stay and lead them. They presented her with the Citrine pendant which signals her rank as clan leader, which she accepted graciously. As they lay the lightweight chain over her head during the small ceremony that marked her acceptance, her eyes were drawn to the nearby woods where a Timber Tender emerged from the depths of the forest. The happy chattering of the dragons hushed as the familiar approached. Clans that held guardian-familiars such as these were said to be blessed, and it was a great honor to be chosen as the familiar's partner. The Timber Tender lumbered towards the small circle of dragons, before settling beside Eleanor as if he had hundreds of times before.
