Napstablook has never been quite confident in himself. He constantly puts himself down, but at the same time, tries and wishes to impress those around him. He likes to make small things in his spare time, and often goes to either Axton or Stella to show them immediately, hoping that they will like them. The praise is a boost of confidence, however, not for long in most cases...

Funfacts

The top hat was a gift from Axton, who seems to have a special interest in Napstablook. Though, it's more like the materials for the hat were given and Napstablook was left to craft the hat himself.
Napstablook actually enjoys crafting. He makes various apparel and trinkets out of the materials that the clan doesn't think much of throwing to the junk pile.
After noticing that Napstablook was not very skillful in combat, Axton fought and captured a Polarfreeze Defender to give to him as a familiar.
Napstablook, as well as Stella live in a small cottage sitting at the edge of the clan's lair; it's where items meant to be checked over for selling are sent from the hoard.
Napstablook hoards formal apparel. He likes to look snazzy and likes looking at snazzy things.

History
Napstablook, for the longest time, had felt alone and distant from everyone in his clan. Upon coming of age to travel alone, he simply...left. And walked. And flew. And walked. And flew. He had been searching for a purpose, drifting from land to land until finally, he entered the Driftwood Drag. Axton was the one to pick him out, as he had never seen him before and was curious of his whereabouts. Once Napstablook explained his dilemma, Axton took him into the clan and got him cleared by Charlie and Majestic.

Once being incorporated, Axton and Majestic searched for something for him to do that he was capable of; eventually, they decided on something relatively simple: shopkeeping. He was put in charge of selling the clan's unwanted materials. It was hard for him the first time around, but as he continued, he certainly got the hang of things and became an efficient shopkeeper. Later on, Stella joined him in selling, and the additional help has only made their shop more successful.
