Zomlet

The survivor of several bloody inter-clan wars, Zomlet arrived in Ohdaviing's clan at the request of Phrixus--her newest mate. Having lost her previous mates in the destruction of her prior clans, Zomlet arrived at Petrichor's doorstep with no intention of finding a life-partner. While there, however, she met Phrixus; the first dragon in almost fifty years to pique her interest. Phrixus, being the oddity that he is, decided to name his first companion Zomlet after hearing her entertain several clutches of baby dragons with stories of her death-defying escapes.

Her bloody past was marked with several wounds around her slender body, some deep enough to make one wonder how she could have survived the encounter--and in one piece, no less. The stories around each wound changed subtly over the years as details were added and removed, some becoming tales of heroic acts of kindness or devilish counter-attacks against her war-tired adversaries. Any dragon who meets Zomlet is immediately aware of how much she loves to tell her tales of bravery and heroics, but only Phrixus and Zomlet herself are aware of the truths that hide behind her words.

Though war seemed to follow Zomlet wherever she went, she had never fought. Fear was rampant in her mind whenever a fight broke out, and more often than not she found herself frozen as claws and teeth tore into her flesh. Her instinct to flee eventually kicked in and led her--bloody and hardly able to move--away from the bloodshed.

In recent years Zomlet has leaned on Phrixus to fight many of her battles, although she has managed to overcome the crippling affect of her fear and can now at least flee before injuries are sustained--most of the time. She now chooses to train the babies of the clan in maneuvers to avoid their enemies both before and during a fight. Her skillset ranges from basic hunting techniques like silent-stepping, breath-control and camouflage to advanced maneuvers such as tree-hopping, baiting and Singing; Singing is the act of imitating the mating call of aggressive or territorial animals in order to draw them to the area, in the hopes of forcing the opposing dragon into combat and possibly opening a route for escape.
