Moonflower

Born in a mysterious area of the Frozen Wastelands, Moonflower is an exceptionally different Ice dragon. Instead of wanting to preserve the world around her, she wants to watch it burn. Instead of being relatively cold-hearted, she's almost completely cold-hearted, save for her friends and family. Instead of barely being sadistic, she is the opitimy of enjoying an enemy's death. But one fateful day, Moonflower wandered off from her frozen tundra home. If you are confused after reading this story, saying it's almost the exact opposite of how i described Moonflower, i made this story to show that she can have a soft side too.

She journeyed across half of the world, until finally coming upon Seafoam's clan as a young teenager.

After so many hardships for so many years, Moonflower decided to rest at this paradise-like island. She saw a beautiful lair, empty of any living presence, and curled up in a bed near the back. But she didn't sleep for long. She woke up at midnight to a strange chorus of "LEAVE OR BE BANISHED FROM THIS DIMENSION". She freaked out and hid under the bed. The chorus continued to get louder and louder, until she saw a pale purple figure enter the room. As it faded into existence, Moonflower stayed absolutely silent. As it looked around, it's mysterious voice called to another figure outside. "Nobody's here.... but i could've sworn i heard footsteps!" The figure entered the nearly-abandoned lair and looked around. The millisecond Moonflower saw him, she fell deeply in love. His shining teal scales and majestic features fell upon her as he stretched and started shuffling into bed. He paused and peeked under the bed. He and Moonflower both screamed at the same time. There was silence until Myrmeen burst out laughing. "What the heck are you doing here?!" he laughed. Embarrassed, Moonflower stayed still and looked at him with hatchling-eyes. Please don't kill me... please oh please don't kill me... she thought. "If you're looking for shelter, i can help you find some. The island is relatively big, you'll be able to find somewhere to stay for sure." he said, smiling. "Th-thank you..." said Moonflower, relieved.

The next day, the two teenage dragons went exploring, and soon enough, they found the perfect place for Moonflower's lair.

Within a week, the lair was done. The two agreed to meet up at the beach in the evening, and Moonflower had big plans....

"Moonflower, i'm here!" called Myrmeen. It was evening, and Moonflower was sitting at the water, staring into the sunset. Myrmeen gazed at her beauty, amplified by the beautiful sunlight shining in front of her. She turned her head to him. "Oh, you're here...!" she said. There was a hint of dreaminess in her voice, but Myrmeen came over and sat down next to her. As he sat down, he noticed that Moonflower had drawn his name in the sand, circled by a big heart. Did she really love him too? No, it couldn't be. As Moonflower looked at him, he saw she was blushing hard. She cuddled up next to him and hissed gladly. Myrmeen blushed and looked down at the young Mirror. "Um.. i have something to tell you, Myr." she said. Myrmeen was all ears. "Yes?"
"Um... have you ever had that feeling when you're in bed and can't stop thinking about this one person?"
"Yes..."
"The one you want to be with forever?"
"Uh..." Myrmeen blushed harder than ever. He was absolutely correct. And the answer to all of Moonflower's questions were "definitely". But he couldn't bring himself to say it. "......" He stayed silent.
"Well.......i have been meaning to tell you... you are that person. I've never loved anyone so much in my life." Shocked, Myrmeen stood still, his scales practically turning rose pink. "W-will you love me?" she stammered.
"Yes. For all of eternity." said Myrmeen. Moonflower flew for joy and dive bombed into the water. As she flew out, the water dripping from her wings formed a heart. Gazing upon such brilliance hurt Myrmeen's eyes. He stared at her until she flew up to him and kissed him. He blushed so hard that his scales stayed rose pink for 10 whole minutes. He kissed her back.

Ever since, Myrmeen and Moonflower have never been happier. Constantly talking about how great each of them is, Moonflower hopes to protect her clan and family forever, and go on to have the biggest family in the clan with descendants numbering as many as the stars.

I regret this story to the end of time, and it's definitely up there on the list of 'backstories that need to be redone before the end of the year'.
