Nym's origins began in Thoracosaurus' clan, where she was graciously gifted to us as Kamaria, named after the moon. Outgrowing infancy, Kamaria spent most of her time getting to know her new family and adopted the ways of Lightning quickly. She was smart, graceful, and a natural leader, so many of our hatchings looked up to her for guidance in the harsh desert life. Realizing this, Kamaria decided it was important to find her calling. She then experimented with various trades such as sewing, gathering, and even a dab in medicine. But failing to find her niche after two months, she turned towards the coli, throwing her frustrations at enemy after enemy. Of course, it didn’t take long for her to realize she was good at fighting, liked it even. And thus, she decided to rename herself ‘Nym’ in reflection of her new beginning.

Considering her options, Nym decided to return to the source of her power. She requested a pilgrimage to her birthplace to find a teacher in the ways of battling. Once approved by Stormcatcher, Nym returned home to her parents and stayed for several weeks training in the icy tundras with Master Malachai (who is now serving under the Icewarden). It was grueling work. But with the ‘Work and work harder’ mentality, Nym graduated with flying colors and sharp instincts. She wears bandages to this day as a trademark of a seasoned warrior (and also to align her bones and muscles while keeping her daily training regimen).

Nym returned to Lightning as our official Battlemaster. Her enthusiasm led her to train some of her clan mates in the Boreal Wood two days after her return. It was there where she befriended a rare and elusive Coarsefur Yeti, a feat that surprised and delighted everyone. Nym grinned with pride when younger dragons bombarded her questions about her adventures. Our clan is forever indebted to Thoracosaurus for her generosity and so we gifted the Yeti to her as a token of goodwill between our clans.

Nym is a product of both Ice and Lightning, but she hopes to one day to serve under Stormcatcher (despite our dismayed protests). But she reassured us that she had no intention of leaving anytime soon. There’s still a lot of work to be done and so she is content with training many more warriors for our flight before she parts from us.
