Incense

Incense was born during a very tumultuous time, late at night. It was only minutes before the conclusion of the 2nd Battle of the Bay, and the newborn Skydancer was sound asleep in the Dreamdome of Denutena's Candyclan with the other hatchlings, when suddenly the doors blew open and winds started gusting in, twisting around the room until it transformed into a tornado. She looked around, petrified, but none of the adults seemed to take action, or even feel the same fear. Just minutes old and unable to speak yet, the little girl started crying. Despite her age, she knew why the tornado had come, what its purpose was: to summon the little hatchlings to battle, to join Windsinger in his godly residence and be united with him eternally. Incense knew the honor that was to be bestowed upon her and the other hatchlings, but she didn't dare touch the tornado, let alone follow the others and jump straight in! The little Skydancer closed her eyes and waited, expecting to feel her feet lift from the ground any moment. But the tornado disspated, the winds died down, and Incense was still there.

Ever since that day, at only five minutes of age, Incense knew how she wanted to spend her life; she wanted to make friends and devote herself to a much smaller group than the followers of a deity. She wanted to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. The events of her first night had scarred the little girl forever, much to the grief of the dragons of Denutena's Candyclan. Knowing Incense couldn't stay with them any longer, they reached out to Christovski's Clan, where Meadowlark had found happiness, and asked them to take the hatchling in. After recovering from a long and terrifying journey, Incense has finally started to explore her new home, although she still skitters about like a scared deer.
