Acrux was found digging by Creme when she was taking a walk by the tribe's mine, and had carried Acrux to the hatchery. Though it became apparent that Acrux was drawn to anything that shined. One night Darren had caught him sleeping atop the tribe’s treasure hoard during the middle of the night during his routine patrol.

Acrux also has a love for mathematics. He had happened across some mathematics books when the library was being built, and spent multiple nights reading upon the subject. With Acrux's love for shiny objects and his accumulated knowledge of math, Leon appointed him as the tribe's treasurer. Though others are often surprised that he holds such an important role, they never question his skill as he sends out monthly reports of the tribe's income and current savings. He also has the hidden talent singing.

____The reality of how Acrux came to have the Painted Marionette as a familiar is confusing to say the least. He had stumbled across it while he was taking a hike to relieve some stress. The poor thing was nearly in shambles and could barely lift it's head to look up at him. Acrux took the marionette home and fixed him to the best of his abilities. After a couple weeks of trail and error the marionette was finally back to 100% health.
