Shade-Touched Beast


Carn was born in the home of shadow, an area long since filled with secrets and shrouded by mystery. Stories of hatchlings gone missing in the night, snatched up and devoured by shade is a common folk tale told among the the thorns of the Foxfire Bramble.
Though most disregard these tales as a way the adults get their children to behave there's no denying the presence of something sinister lurking in the abyssal dark.

None know this more than Carn, some say he was the lost hatchling who started the legends and tales of the shades returning reach. Whether or not he was the first, he is the most infamous. For the shade had changed him, mentally and physically remembering nothing of who or what he was before the incident.

Carn, a name given to him by the many voices contained within the shade, voices that constantly stir and murmur within his altered mind. His body is seemingly made of goo, occasionally drops can be seen rolling to the floor where it puddles but never leaves his side. Almost as if he were melting. Sickening maws open forth from his chest and neck constantly oozing black sludge, darkened eyes tear through the membrane on his wings.

The voices instilled a desire with in him, twisting his mind, making him long for the spread of the shade once more. A mindless zombie, a feral beast traveling only with his chosen mate. Hostile to all deemed unworthy by the voices, he has no quarrel with wiping out entire clans.

So be wary of this dragon and his tainted kin, lest you see yourself swallowed whole by the shadows.
