Argent

Argent is the second born of her parent's first clutch and the only one in her close family who has chosen to not serve the deities. She was told since she hatched that it is a high honor to serve them, but she had never felt that to be true. The clan they lived in, that she still lives in, had a more honorable purpose.

Each time she saw a dragon, adult or hatchling, brought in, healed, fed and offered a home, it just steeled her resolve that she was needed here. Her parents, frustrated with her, eventually left to serve the Flamecaller, leaving her alone. The fanaticism had prevented her from making many friends, even among her siblings, so for a time Argent kept to herself and occupied spare moments by collecting trinkets and the occasional bit of treasure as she scavenged and sold her trinkets at market.

A month after her parents left, Argent was approached by Phoenix and John, two of the clan leaders' children. They had noticed her loneliness and at first had assumed it was because her parents were gone but had soon realized there was more to it and had decided to offer her a proper place within their family. The clan was known for adopting orphans and Argent would be no different. After that, others approached her, offering friendship, and soon enough, Argent was surrounded by friends and family.

Nakia came first, soft and sweet, with her hulking guardian mate skulking behind her. Argent was intimidated at first but Nakia's gentle nature won her over quickly.
Kinley was next, playful and flirty and friendly. He offered her more than friendship but was unhurt when she said no. Being friends had him content.

Then there was Steve. He appeared one day and no one knew who he was but he brought no threat or harm and was allowed to stay and his polite weirdness quickly wormed it's way into her heart and they became friends. He tends to go with her to the market and she enjoys his company, even as he yammers about whatever has peaked his interest that day that she knows nothing about. Though she will admit she does learn things from him occasionally.
