The Sovereign hatched out a normal Imperial, the largest of her clutch but nothing more impressive than that. But as she aged, her father's madness and her mother's lust for power awakened something within her. She turned on her clutchmates, savaging and killing them. The act was brutal, and done without mercy. She lured her siblings away before tearing them apart before they could flee. Once the act was done, she gathered the corpses together and fled with the bodies before her Clan could find and punish her for the murder.

Once she was safely out of her Clan's territory The Sovereign laid out the corpses and waited, and when The Emperor awoke she used her own magic to bind it to her very spirit, causing the monster to see her as an extension of itself, instead of as a separate Imperial. An extension which could think and plan; an extension that was not simply a mindless beast.

True to her wind routes she travels far and wide, trying to build her Emperor army. Driven by her inherited desire to rule, she wants to gather as much territory as she can to rule as a Queen, maybe even as a god. Her first Emperor she has named Kith, in honor of siblings who died to make it.

KITH:

Kith is the Emperor made from The Sovereign's clutchmates. A pure Wind Emperor, Kith is most often used to help with travel and creating wings powerful enough to dash even the strongest of dragons against the rocks.

UMBRA: SHADOW

Umbra is the second Emperor formed, created from the bodies of three murdered Shadow Imperials. While Kith is used for conventional travel, The Sovereign uses Umbra’s Shadow Magic to slip into the shadows unnoticed, striking at the right moment.

SEER: WATER

After an ambush left her injured The Sovereign was forced to create Seer. Many Water Imperials were killed until she found the perfect ones, and now this Emperor is used to plan battles and predict attacks.

MAGI: ARCANE

Even with them seeing her as part of themselves three Emperors is hard to control. Three dead Arcane dragons later, and Magi was born. Using its power The Sovereign fused the heads together, so that now her Emperors mostly resemble giant Imperials. If Imperials appeared as amalgamous horrors, that is.

FEVER: PLAGUE

Still testing with her abilities to create perfect Emperors, The Sovereign made Fever. Her goal was to somehow make a contagion that would bring the illness to others. It worked, in a way. Thanks to the power Fever has given her, her Emperors can now devour and absorb the powers from any dragon of their element.

GLASS: ICE

As her power grew her body began to split. Desperate to stop this, The Sovereign formed Glass, hoping the ice could bind her together. It failed, but one good thing did come of it. A new weapon, and more power.

VULCAN: FIRE

Vulcan was created with one purpose in mind. Destruction. Fire is so wonderful a way to wipe out those who would challenge her.

FLORA: NATURE

Flora was formed entirely to spite The Gladekeeper the first deity to strike back against The Sovereign. The Mage was wounded but not killed, and soon she had murdered a whole clan of Nature dragons, just to make and feed her new monster.

GEODE: EARTH

Where Ice had failed, perhaps Earth could succeed. With the ore from this Emperor, and the flames from Vulcan, The Sovereign created armor to hold herself together.

COIL: LIGHTNING

Geode’s armor soon became a prison, and so Coil was made. With the help of technology, The Sovereign was able to bind her essence to the armor, essentially making herself a machine.

LUX: LIGHT

An attack on the Imperial’s maker, by the time Lux was formed The Sovereign’s body was gone, and her mind was close behind. At the birth of this monster, all parts fused, and The Sovereign’s True Form was realized.

True Form:

Once all eleven Emperors are made The Sovereign will have mutated into an eleven headed Emperor, black as a void with eyes from each flight. She will have twenty-two wings and forty-four legs, with eleven thrashing tails. She can appear as she is supposed to be, but with two give tells. Her eyes flicker between the Eleven colors, as well as black, and her shadow and reflection show her for what she truly is. A monster.
