♛ Gaylen knows pearlcatchers are the pinnacle of dragonkind, and each pearlcatcher, not least Gaylen, rests secure in the knowledge that they are at the top tier of that select species. Yes, he is self-centered.
Gaylen loves gossip and choice tidbits ... the secrets of other dragons are a currency among pearlcatchers worth more than mere gold.

Expert at collecting data which is not mearly gossip but hidden truths Gaylen is able to base his liaising with Water representatives on juicy secrets.
Before being elected to the Senate Gaylen was a talented engineer. He still dabbles in designing and finding extraordinary ways to build lairs that are ergonomic and ecologically sound.
The den he built his mate, Momo, is an excellent example of his work, and as soon as she saw it she knew she'd never want to live anywhere else.
