Jason

Jason was the very first dragon to join the Lynriel clan after Somniva and Apollo claimed a home. The new couple was astonished to wake after their first night in their new nest to a knock at the door. They hadn't realized they had neighbors! When they opened the door to see Jason for the first time, ice crystals and snowflakes were still clinging to his fur from his most recent expedition to the highest mountain peaks. As Somniva and Apollo would learn, Jason spent almost all of his time seeking higher and higher ground, striving to see the world in the air that was too thin for heavy tundra dragons to fly. With his faithful lupine companion, Louviere, Jason had discovered several previously unknown mountain ranges and geologic phenomena. Since his nest was so often neglected during his travels and Apollo was eternally fascinated by his tales of vertigo-inducing danger, Jason simply moved his meager possessions into an unused corner in Lynriel and that was that. He became an adoptive mysterious uncle to all those in Lynriel - popping by once every month or so to drop off some unusual rocks or sketchings of a new mountain ridge, delighting the hatchlings and feeding a spark of adventure in the cozy home.
