B I O G R A P H Y
"To live alone is the fate of all great souls."
Sometimes, the noise in her head drove her crazy, other times it made her numb. There was always a need, urge, want for it. Her soul was gripped by the Wendigo, enclosed in an Imperial’s body. Sometimes this drove her mad, other times, numb. But it always drove her. Rahab, a dragon born to two, powerful warriors of the Light Flight. Rahab wasn’t always gripped by this madness, but it had always been around her. Her parents, warriors full of tradition and power, and taught their children that survival is key. Rahab didn’t like the talk of war or killing and often times would be found daydreaming and playing the fields. She would have rathered watching the specks of dust and light dance in the sun beams, then hear her parents war stories. Often times, Rahab would make up her own grand adventures and write them down in scrolls. She adored pretending to be in her own little world. Within the Light Flight, she had her world. But the forest was alive with evil. Late into the night, the Beast Clan gathered. Their energy was high and their need for the hunt was lit. Soon, upon that clan in the Light Flight, the Beast Clan’s descended. The Clan’s warriors erupted from their sleep and prepared for battle; Rahab’s parents included. She awoke to the sound of metal on teeth and claw as the battle raged late into the night. Rahab rose from her bed, fear engulfing her. Her siblings who were old enough gathered their armor to join the fray while the younger ones huddled together. Rahab declared that she would stay with the young ones. As the Clan fought the Beasts, Rahab tended to the young whelps. All at once, two Beast Clan warriors tore into the cave. The whelps gasped and tried to flee. They were trapped in the cave. Rahab stood in front of the whelps, hoping to ward as much as she could. She yelled for her family, hoping one of them would be able to hear her plea. It seemed to all happen at once; one Beast jumped on her back as the other tore at the whelps. In a moment of fear, Rahab fell unconscious. |

"Mom! Dad!” She screamed. Her body felt cold, but it didn’t seem to bother her. Next to her laid a wolf pelt. Confused, but grateful for the added warmth, she put it on. Her body felt stronger than usual. Quickly, she took to the sky. Her wings were able to take to the cold sky easily and soon, she was able to land on more solid ground. Her mind felt fuzzy. She wasn’t sure how she got here, or what had happened to her. Parts came back to her as the day grew on, bits and pieces of her home and her family. As she walked, she came across an unfamiliar scent. A Clan territory. This made her uneasy, but she had to know where she was and where the border to Light Flight was. As she walked further into the territory, she noticed a slight buzz in her head. It grew louder and louder the more she focused on it, driving her mad. The buzzing would grow louder until she would lose all track of time. She would “awake” in a different part of the land, having to start all over again. These episodes continued for days, possibly weeks. Each time, a new sense of strength and urgency would overwhelm her. She grew lonely and disoriented, her mind constantly in a madness. |
