The physical embodiment of a sentient Star, Andromeda hails from the galaxy of the same name, of which her scientific classification was taken. Terrans within the Korhal system were gifted her by the head of the Moebius foundation, which turned out to be in league with an ancient Xel'Naga known as Amon. Liberated by Alexi Stukov and Sarah Kerrigan's actions against Narud, a Shapeshifter and former Head of the Moebius foundation. ((***OOC: This is all Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty and Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. If you are not familiar, please go read about it if you love sci-fi, aliens and really cool mechs and whatnot***))

Andromeda was wandering between worlds for a long time aimlessly. Observing Zerg and Terrans alike, intrigued by the mouthless Protoss yet unable to observe them, as they seemed wary of her presence. Her playful and sometimes powerful emotions could easily overwhelm the minds of Zerg and Terrans, which was welcomed by some, and lead to a large fraction of the Zerg breaking off to be around her instead of listening to their mistress.

Freed from an inter-dimensional prison by Sarah Kerrigan and James 'Jimmy' Raynor, with assistance from Dehaka, Alexi Stukov and -though indirectly- Zeratul as well, Xerxes, a Primal hybrid, approached Andromeda at the behest of Sarah and Jim, worried for what a divided swarm would do given the threat of Amon's return. Xerxes understood Andromeda immediately, a young mind, given a physical form and freedom from sickness or hunger and able to traverse anywhere she pleased once freed, she followed, as a child would.

He probed her mind deeply, revealing memories of her origin, how Narud had plucked her essence from a star and trapped it in a formless biomass within a solution that immediately began to change to suit the star's needs. Often too bright too look at while excited, Xerxes soon understood the reason for this even before hearing the shapeshifter's voice in his mind, through the young starchild.
*You will give us the energy to create the hybrids. Your essence is powerful and will help bear millions, spreading your light throughout the cosmos.* He told her, causing her to desire to please him through gladly bearing any pain if she furthered the cause. Her energy had been used on Xerxes several times, pushing his hybridization to continue forcefully when at a standstill.
Andromeda, learning her origins and having seen all that had transpired with Sarah breaking into the compound and her battle with Narud, understood that she had been used by the shapeshifter. She first became enraged, the Zerg she had called to her becoming wild and moving to attack Xerxes, before he reacted in turn, psionically overpowering and calming the youngster. At first she curled up on the floor, eyes wide and staring while shuddering lightly, the Zerg's connection to her severed causing them to quickly retreat to their hive clusters, before slowly sliding along the ground on her belly to gently nuzzle him, apologizing for her reaction. He nuzzled back, gently nudging her to ask her to follow. He gave her a new purpose, her light powerful and able to invigorate him and his brood of Primal/Hybrid Zerg, and possibly even able to turn the remaining of Narud's cloned hybrids.

Brought here to learn about family and trust, and to age a bit more, Andromeda enjoys playing simple games and learns writing and reading from Xerxes and Edulaeon, oftentimes assisting Meredy and Aluino with the ancient clan scriptures.
