Biography

5/5/16
I came from the Shifting Expanse, but i have traveled far and wide since then. I recently had to leave my newer home at the Focal Point, but me and my familiar found another one. This was close to the place that I first found my Polarfreeze Defender last winter. I knew that I couldn't stay here forever, but I will soon have to find my Charge. I may soon begin traveling throughout the Southern Icefields, but I will make sure to return to this clan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/6/16
I am ready to be sent off and fly throughout the Southern Icefields, but I will come back to this clan eventually. last night while i was sleeping a little mirror hatchling crawled near here, we had no idea where it's home was so we decided to keep it with us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/17/16
After almost two weeks of flying, I finally found a small clan that would take me in. They were a ragtag group; there were dragons of different elements yet they all acted like family. The matriarch of the clan, a small Fae that introduced herself as Newn, quickly welcomed me and set to getting a place for me to rest put together. Within a matter of minutes, I had fresh food and bedding.
One of the other dragons seemed to instantly take a liking to me. Ruitan, he said his name was. We talked for most of the night, staying up till long after everyone else was fast asleep. Before I even knew what had happened, we already had a nest together. Four little ice eggs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/19/16
A few days have passed since I arrived at this clan. Everything seems to have fallen into a schedule, nothing new really happens. I go with them to help gather food and supplies, then lounge around here the rest of the day. Ruitan and I continue to have long talks with each other. Neither of us seem too concerned with our eggs, and it has fallen onto the two fae females to take care of them. I'm almost itching to leave this normality and go back to my adventures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/22/16
The eggs hatched; four little guardian girls. We still do not really spend time with the how parents should. With their hatching, I can feel Ruitan distancing himself from me as if he's grown bored of me. I think I'm only going to stay for a few more days before setting off on a new journey.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/24/16
I feel it is finally time to leave these dragons. Many of the dragons have stopped talking to me, in anger of me not being around for the hatchlings. Ruitan doesn't even find time to talk to me. I wish I could have spent more time to socialize and befriend the other dragons, and not have spent all my time on him. I know I should offer to take at least one of my hatchlings with me, but they would only slow down my journey.
I set off with my familiar by my side, saying not even a farewell to the dragons who had taken care of me this past week. I can only hope that were I stay next will be better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/24/16
Upon my flight, I came across an oddly dressed Coatl within the broken ice of the waters. He introduced himself as Oki and listened eagerly to my story. Oki offered his clan as a temporary home to me during my journey. With full interest, I followed him back to be greeted by a rather oddball set of dragons. Most of the dragons were rescues and seemed to do their own thing rather than following under direct orders of Oki. I grew tired as the day came to a close and took a corner of their cave to rest for the night knowing that the following day would hopefully hold a bit more adventure for me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/24/16
We spent the day out hunting! Asgore and Luccio did most of the fighting, but that left me to loot. There were a lot of interesting monsters out there, but I wasn't afraid at all. The pair of dragons leading this hunt were very odd birds though. Asgore always seemed to have an attitude, but Luccio.... he doesn't speak! All the hard work made the sleep that night that much more enjoyable.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/25/16
It seems this morning that Zaria wants me to go scouting the area with her. We went through lots of different ice bioms looking for anything out of place or new items to bring back to the lair. The two of us spent a lot of time talking about adventures and I even got to see some of the underground ice caverns.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/26/16
Another day out battling. Getting a bit stronger each time! I noticed that a lot of dragons come to train with Asgore and Luccio before being sent off with the Ice Warden. It was crazy to see all of the passing dragons. I'm wondering if I should feel honored, but the oddity of them kind of puts that feeling off. I would of imagined more of a "knight in shining armor" type dragons training the new guys to be strong as the greatest dragons, not these two.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/27/16
I decided to spend some time socializing with everyone today rather than going out. Some of the stories were rather interesting. Almost every rescue dragon had a story to tell (be it true or not) and everyone here seemed (besides Asgore) relatively happy. They don't have much at all to do with any other clans and seem to mind their own. I suppose with the flow of dragons coming in and out to train, they never get lonely since there are always new faces to meet and see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5/28/16
Departure day. Some part of me wishes to stay, but there is far more out there I need to see. Oki even asked if I wanted to go and fight with the Ice Warden, he was impressed with how he saw me battling out there. I chuckled (wait was he actually serious or not) and said no. After saying my goodbyes, I took flight again with my familiar and pressed on to the next adventure. Wait a minute, I think Oki wanted to Exalt me!!
I arrived at my newest home. It seemed as though I came at a busy time. As I wandered into the camp, guided by a dark Coatl, I saw most of the clan surrounding two large Guardians. Both were covered in various scars and looked as if they grew up in the coliseum. My Coatl guide stopped us outside the group and looked up to the Guardians as the crowd fell under a hush. They introduced me and mentioned how I'd be staying for only a short time, but that I should be welcomed with open hearts and opened wings. After the introduction the older of the two, who I assumed was the clan leader, Novaan, announced that a party of warriors was going out to gather food and festive items now that the Lightweaver has blessed dragonkind in her yearly festival. Before I could settle in I was also whisked away to the Coliseum and paired up with one of the fierce Guardians by the name of Vashnev, and my Coatl guide Vahzen. I'm excited to be able to train under experienced warriors again, but also nervous... Wish me luck.
I've found my way into yet another ice flight. Their queen took me in happily, although I can see that this clan doesn't have the strongest warriors in the ice flight. I took it upon myself to train them for a bit, taking them out. It seems I could improve some of their battle skills, even if it wasn't that great of a challenge for me. I told them about my travels, taking the liking of one of their ice-coloured males, and yet another nest has bestowed itself upon me. I guess I'll stay until they hatch, but I can't bring myself to taking any of them with me on my travels. I've told these dragons this repeatedly, and their hospitality is cooling somewhat - I guess they don't take well to parents that don't stick around for their hatchlings to grow up.
I'm so tired.. I've walked a long way now. The blizzards are too strong, and I can't fly the rest of the way. Suddenly, a lad and an icy-colored coatl appeared in front of me. The lad said something to his partner, but I didn't understand a thing. However, coatl greeted me in a language known to me. He introduced himself as Frost, and the impatient lad beside him as Green, leader of their clan. I gave a quick glare at 'the leader' while he looked away in the snow. I can't even imagine how could somebody like him lead a clan. Well, it's time to find out!
We walked through the deep snow, but it was way more fun now that Frost was with me. He told me more about their leader. His history, personality and behaviour. No matter he looks just like an agressive, young human, he seems to have a warm heart inside. I was told that his Lair is mostly inhabited by dragons saved from exaltion, as hatchlings. All of them are very loyal to him, and treat him with respect.
While listening to Frost's stories, I realized we entered an evergreen forest. We must be in the Snowsquall Tundra now!
Their Lair was a bit more to the North, but we arrived shortly. As soon as I came in, I felt much better. It was warm and cozy inside. A clumsy male tundra leaped next to me, and gently took my luggage. Green quietly started walking away, when a spiral jumped at him and wrapped around. "Welcome back, sir!" A moment later, the shiftless leader was licked and hugged even tighter. Because his mouths were tighted, he only helplessly stammered.
"Efren! Are you trying to suffocate sir Green!?" a ridgeback yelled and rushed at the spiral. He crawled away, smilling. She glanced at me, while putting the speechless Green on her back:"Sorry for that hasty encounter. That crazy spiral is Efren. A true example of that species' hyperactivity!" she laughed. "By the way, my name's Xylanthrakas, but I prefer to be called just Xyla, if you don't mind."
In the afternoon, after the dinner, Green organised a meeting to give me a chance to meet everyone else. There are all kinds of dragons here, in all lively colors! I've seen every single breed here! Faes, imperials, tundras, coatls, mirrors, skydancers and many, many more! There's even another female guardian. We became great friends immediately. Tora is very friendly and kind. She told me that I remind her of another Travelling Dragon that was here not that long ago. I'm not sure. Does name Emien sound familiar..?
The next day, I decided to take part in the clan's hunt. Hunting in the Lesser Lair is much harder because of icebergs and glares. Tundra is pretty populated with animals and plants unlike other subregions.
We aimed at a herd of crimson emperor. I sneaked closer when Serafeim started waving at me. I didn't get what she ment, but, unfortunately, I soon did. A pack of winter wolves cringed to the herd from the other side of the clearing. Shocked, I had no courage to make a sound, and I just stood there. Scared for my life. Wolves noticed me to. I reckon they considered I wanted to steal they prey, so they became interested in me. Shortly I was cornered. My heart was beating, my whole body was shivering. One jumped, and I closed my eyes.. This is the end, I guess..
Loud screeching made me open my eyes again, just to notice Xyla and her mate Gin saving me. Her chimera wrested the wolf away from me, while his sentry squawker made terrible sounds to scare rest of the pack away. I wiped my sweat. B-blood? On my hand?
'You're bleeding!' Gin shouted. Pearlcatcher then looked at his mate, which nodded. I remember them carrying me.. That's the last thing I saw before getting unconcious..
I woke up in a warm room. Warm..? I soon started recongizing faces around me - Green, Tora, Xyla, Efren...
Even that spiral is now quiet. Green patted my back and stood up. Then his incomprehensible speech started. I believe Xyla understood it, since she said:'You'll have to go home now. You can't stay here with these wounds. We don't have the needed medicine to treat it better...'
I understand. That's the right thing to do. Syntomo started packing my stuff, but Green moved him away to do it himself. He carried them to the doors and whistled. Frost walked to him, with a helmet in his paws. He handed it to Green.
The leader then looked at me. That was a minute of silence. I awaited something to happen, peacefully. Green put the helmet on my head. 'I wish you luck, Sherill.'
For the first time in my life, he said something I understood! How!? I slowly flew away, thinking... I will always have this scar and helmet to remember my experiences with them.. Will we ever meet again..?
I finally got a chance to rest at my home lair. my denmates said that they might be moving sometime soon, but they don't know exactly where or when just yet. They also told me that before they do I will start traveling around the rest of Sorienth. I hope we go to a place that wouldn't need as much travel, like the Sea of a Thousand Currents. I'd be fine if it were more like the Windswept Plateau though. the drafts there would speed my flights up so much anyway.
One of the newer dragons told me there was a couple of other surprises on the way, so as I was flying out today, I was thinking of it for nearly the entire flight
Icy wind blew threw me around, and large, cold snowflakes drifted swiftly in front of my muzzle as I flew, making it difficult to see. Frostbite bit at my wingtips, and my bones ached longingly for rest. I hoped that I would not get lost...
Suddenly, a whoosh of wind pushed me back, and I fell into the cold snow. I tried to get up, but only to feel a sharp pain in my leg, and to see small, crimson droplets splashing onto the snow. I called for help, but I knew that no-one would be out in a storm like this. It was hopeless, I knew that. But then I heard a loud thumping sound behind me, and suddenly everything went black.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7/26, (SakuraOkami7, #236189)

I had woke up in a large cave, and a soft wolf pelt blanket was underneath me. I looked at my leg - It was covered with a bandage and was numb with some sort of odd ointment. My familiar was curled up beside me, and I could smell various herbs and low, quiet voices speaking to each other from rooms away.

A Dragon soon ran up to me, a female Guardian wearing birdskull apparel. "Ah, good, you're awake." Her voice was quiet and oddly soothing; as if nature could speak. "Dragons are not usually out for that long, so I was wondering why you were still resting." I was still extremely confused by this place and all of its strange smells - it was warm in the caves, but surely it was still the Southern Icefield? "Where am I? And... how did I get here?" I had asked her.

The Dragon closed her eyes, remembering the scene. "Our Samurai normally take trips out to the top of the mountain each week, and they just happen to spot you in the snow." She then told me that they had some mountain herbs with them, and if you touch them, you would instantly fall asleep. They had landed behind me, and threw some near me (they had gauntlets, so they didn't fall asleep) - and after that I was taken here, to be healed by Kinu.

Samurai? Weren't those for the Wind Clans? I asked her this question, but Kinu just shook her head, and mumbled something I couldn't hear. After a bit, she left and I fell asleep again... To only be woken up by a cheerful face.

"Hi there, stranger!" The voice said, "What are you doing here?" I blinked open my eyes, and saw a little black-and-white Nocturne hatchling. "Are you new? Or are you just visiting?" My leg was feeling better, so I got up and stretched. "Just visiting," I said. "Okay, so - what's your name? I'm Suzu!" I sighed, I knew hatchlings were excited, but she was a bit too excited. "It's Sherrill." I answered.

Suzu then decided to drag me along the tunnels of this new Clan to show me around. Lanterns hung from the celling in light, pastel colors, each one of them lighting up the space and giving it a warm feeling. Ribbons, tapestries, and other decorations I couldn't recognize were also in the tunnels - it was very inviting.

And there were Dragons everywhere. Hanging from the stalagmites on the celling, talking and chatting with one another, playing with hatchlings, and some were reading quietly in their own personal caves. We had also passed by the nursery, which had a large, friendly-looking Imperial watching over them, grinning happily.

We explored every single cave, area, and tunnel, and soon my leg started to ache again. Suzu took me back to the nursery, and gave me something to eat. We then chatted for a bit, and I soon fell asleep. Suzu had walked back to the nursery to rest herself, and it was quite peaceful that night as I dreamt of my own hatchlings living their lives and being happy, like Suzu.

The next day, I talked to the Clan's leaders, Miyuki, and Ryota. They told me that this Clan was called the Yuki Clan, and it was heavily inspired by the Wind's culture. Miyuki informed me that she had lived in The Windswept Plateau when she was younger, and loved it there. She still enjoyed the cold here, though, and moved back to start her own Clan in the Southern Icefield.

A bit after that, I chatted with some of the other Dragons in the Clan, and told them of my adventures I have had in this place. Although, all of them seemed content here, and didn't seem to want to travel. I thought it was a bit odd, but perhaps that is just me.

Some of the Warriors here took me out for some hunting and gathering, so I went with them. Although they were very strict about their jobs, the three of them still welcomed me and tried to help me whenever I needed it. We even chatted a bit, and it was surprising that they had such sad backgrounds, yet still acted so happy around each other. I found it a bit unusual, but maybe they had their reasons.

The fisher, Raiden, had brought in a large catch of fish that day, and I ate well. Soon after, Suzu came up running to me and brought me to a Dragon's den, saying that Nyoko lived here. As I entered the room, it was covered in bright, shiny gemstones, and silk pillows were laid in a corner, which I guessed was a bed. I waited for a few moments, and then saw a shiny white and red Skydancer enter the den. She was dressed in dark, Crimson silks and her eyes were the color of Jade.

"Oh, hello, hello!" She said to me. "Oh you must be Sherrill, right? It's good to finally meet you!" I guessed this was Nyoko, since she seemed to match the style of the room. Suddenly, Nyoko's face dropped as she looked at the Apparel on me. "Oh, my - um, we may need to do something about that, though.." Huh? She suddenly narrowed her eyes and took a sash from one of the chests in the room, putting it on me. "Um, why did you - " I started, but she interrupted me. "I'm sorry to say this, dearie, but you really needed something to put that together. Just saying, alright? Don't be offended now! I do that all the time." She laughed and clapped her claws together.

Later I had discovered that she was the Clan's tailor, so that made sense, at least. I went back to the healer's cave after that, and decided to keep the Sash as a souvenir. I curled up in the wolf-pelt bed, and then I realized that I had to leave tomorrow. I would miss this Clan, but my heart still wished to take to the sky once again and travel. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I said goodbye to everyone at the Clan, and soon set off, my familiar traveling with me safely. I now understood that everyone there was sort of like a big family; they all had their differences, but they still cared for one another. Even though the thought of that is nice, my heart still wants to travel and explore Sorneith. With this in mind, I flew swiftly through the air, and thought about new adventures I will have someday.

I still don't know if a trip to Ashfall Wastes was such a good idea. The land looks inhospitable from the air, with it's dark soil punctuated with red lava outlets and small volcanoes. I already had to avoid a few lesser dust storms and alter my flight course several times. I hope I can find a clan to stay with soon, otherwise I might be in real trouble as I am finding hunting for food difficult under these conditions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
08/13 (Voronwis #226333)
I stopped to hunt for food and again I had trouble to track anything worth catching. Luckily I came across a hunting party from nearby clan. They startled me at first, a band of ash-covered Mirrors, Spirals and Wildclaws like specters of lost travelers. But they turned out to be amicable and invited me to their lair.
The lair itself was dug out in the face of the cliff overlooking a vast lave lake. It consisted of a series of interlocking tunnels and chambers, so vast and wide that even the largest Imperial would be comfortable dwelling inside.
The clan matriarch, Ember welcomed me to the Voronwis clan. Ember is a Guardian like myself, but larger. She is a ferocious presence, with scarred legs and singed wings- mementos of past battles. Yet she spoke to me as if I was a distant relation. I think I will stay with this clan for a bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
08/14 (Voronwis #226333)
I've met the rest of the clan today. I've noticed something.: Every member of the clan is a trained warrior. From those barely out of their hatchlinghood up to the oldtimers, they all train diligently and can stand their ground. When I asked Ember about it, she said: 'We are a battling clan and take great pride in our skills. We serve our Lady Flamecaller and fight for her glory. We also train, dragons all over the Sorineth come over to learn. Besides' she continued.' 'Life around here can be dangerous. We have a lot of Beasttclan activity and every member of our clan needs to know how to defend our home.' As if to illustrate her words, we had a small raid this evening. A band of Centaurs attacked under the cover of darkness. Luckily, no one was hurt but I could see first hand what kind of problems the local dragons face.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
08/15 (Voronwis #226333)
There is another traveling dragon staying with this clan. Her name is Neon and she is the most colourful Fae I've ever met. She told me that she started traveling while still a hatchling! I did not know if I should admire her courage or scold her for being so reckless. She told me that the clan agreed to train her, so she can defend herself during her travels. She also asked a lot of questions about my journeys. It seems like she has a never-ending curiosity about Sorineth and can't wait until she's strong enough to venture on her own. I wish her luck, she will need it.
08/16 (Voronwis #226333)
We spent all day hunting today. Apparently, this clan has a special way of catching Extinguished Bunnies. Their chief hunter Ash showed me how to di it. It involves a simple luring trick and a bit of patience. At the end of the day I had ten Bunnies in a bag, ready to be prepared and eaten. This hunting technique will come in handy while traveling the Ashfall Wastes I'm sure.
It was almost time for me to leave and seek more adventures after a brief rest with this clan, but before I went I wanted to make use of the local oracle. I was told that Mancanilla has the gift of prophecy and uses her gift to aid her clan. I was shown to her chamber by Coal, a local healer who is a quite laid back tundra. Mancanilla herself looks her part, with silks wrapped around her body and a large turban on her head. I have never seen a Guardian female wearing so much clothes. Mancanilla listened to my request for divination and agreed to peer into the future for me. Coal, Mancanilla and I went out to a small lava pool outside. Apparently, the dragons of clan Voronwis practice lava-gazing as a way to worship the Flamecaller. Mancanilla also uses this method for her divination. She sat on the edge and started looking into the pool. For a few minutes she sat there silently and I thought that she fell asleep.
'Doom!' she roared suddenly. 'Death and blood! Your journey leads to your demise! Danger in the skies! Danger on the ground. Wild animals will feast upon your bones! Turn back!'
As suddenly as she spoke, she took to the skies and fled, leaving me terrified by her words.
'Duuude' said Coal. 'That's great. You couldn't have asked for better!'
'How' I said taken aback. 'Is doom and death good? How a prophecy of my demise in any way great?'
'Aw man, it's that her gift is all screwy. If she says you'll die soon- you get to be strong and healthy. If she says your kid will bring you shame then it means it will be a great warrior. It's all , like,opposite.'
'So I will not die?'
'Nah, your trip will be smooth and mellow. Trust her, she is never wrong.'
I calmed down a bit after that. I sure hope he is right, but in the future I'll think twice before asking for a divination.
This was my last day with Voronwis clan. Tomorrow I am moving on. I sure hope that Mancanilla was right, or rather that she was wrong, and the journey ahead will be free from danger.
I should have spent this day relaxing before the journey, but instead I was helping around the lair. The Flameforgers Festival is coming soon and the whole clan makes effort to prepare. Even the smallest hatchlings do their part. Some guest started arriving sooner than expected and the lair is now quite crowded. The main hall is already decorated. Thousands of colourful candles are waiting for the moment to be lit. Ancient armours were brought out from the hoard to be displayed and were polished untill a dragon could see their reflection in them. Red, orange and yellow ribbons are hanging from the ceiling and the walls. I trully wish I could stay and celebrate Fireforgers with the fire dragons, but the journey calls me. Maybe one day I shall return.
Apparently the clan moved further into the Icefields. When I got to the old lair it was abandoned. I went towards the Snowsquall Tundra, and a couple of my clanmates found me while they were out hunting. They flew with me to the new lair, it was quite bigger then the last one. I wasn't going to stay for long, but I noticed a few things before I left. First, there was a ton of cats running around, it seems like one of them likes me and, just maybe, would like to travel along with me. Second, in my den there was a bright blue dragon laying in a nest next to my own. There was plenty of paintings hung around my nest as well. The dragon said his name was Sparkle. He said the others were talking about me a lot and that there have been messages coming to the clan about me going to their clans at some point.
It hasn't been long staying here, but it was about time to go. I told Sparkle I'd be back in a few days. One of the cats leaped onto me before I took off, and was asleep by the time we were going over seas. This would be one of the longer flights I would have to go through, but I knew I'd get there within a few hours with the wind to my back. I continued to fly on…
When I landed in the Thunder-Arrow clan I was quickly greeted by many dragons of all shapes, sizes, and roles. The matriarch Raziel greeted me last as her clan mates parted for her to pass to me. She welcomed me to the Star Wood Strand and to their beautiful lair woven into the forest. I was awestruck by how well everything ran here with 50+ dragons. Everyone was helping each other with anything they could, including me. I hadn't even lifted a claw to set my luggage down before a young guardian named Yukon generously took them for me. He placed them in a beautiful decorated part of the lair complete with my own flower bed. I was treated to a grand feast, a skit performed by the newest hatchlings, and was even serenaded to by some of the bachelors. In my three days there, i shared my story and experiences of my travels, hoping to inspire some of the dragons that they too could embrace their own dreams. With help with my luggage from Yukon, I thanked everyone for their impeccable hospitality and flew away in the wee hours of dawn.
After my venture into Arcane territory, I flew back to the Southern Icefield. Though I was somewhat reluctant to return to a familiar landscape, I also figured that there were many other lairs also present with their own respective cultures there just waiting to be discovered. I flew over the Snowsquall Tundra, so fixed on trying to spot any draconic movement on the land that I failed to notice a rather small dragon flying towards me until she was just a few wingbeats away.
I lifted my head, shifting my stance in the air to hover as I turned to face her. Her pale green eyes widened as I faced her - she did not seem intimidated, but she also seemed to understand that getting on the bad side of a dragon much larger than she could put her in danger. She said nothing as I stared at her, the sound of my wings threshing the air loudly overshadowing hers.
It hadn't been a minute before she was joined by a much larger imperial, who I later found out was the leader of sorts of her clan.
Skysealer, as she had told me she was named, was happy to lead me to her clan. Like some of the clans I had visited beforehand, this one had many dragons of myriads of different shapes and sizes. The mixture of the different species was astonishing, but also exciting, as memory served. Most were friendly, and I was introduced to them all, I noticed that this clan had also been affected by the Bogsneak mutation I had heard so much about in the past few days.
The dragons were friendly and welcoming for the most part, even so. They each played their own roles to keep the clan organized and functioning as a single unit.
I had found myself in Clan Maelstrom.
I spend the next day or two gathering with them, dipping my toes into battle and enjoying the company of the many combinations of personalities. By the time I left, I was fully rejuvenated and ready to fly across the world.
