Nightclaw is a straightforward dragon who hails originally from the Scarred Wasteland, though he eventually tired of the constant challenge of survival. "I always was a little frail," he'll admit, rubbing the deep scar on his right arm thoughtfully. Of course, his definition of frail differs quite a bit from the average dragon's: Nightclaw is a fierce warrior, and to see him fight is to witness a complete about-face. In every day life, he's polite and even-tempered, almost to the point of blandness. It's rare to see him smile... unless he's in the throes of bloodlust.

He was the first Plague dragon to arrive in Shadowveil's clan, arriving along with Bloodrite. Shadowveil was suspicious of the strangers at first, but Bloodrite managed to smooth things over. The two made a strange pair, with their inverse colors and temperaments, but in the end, they won the clan over.
