Mystic | Conjurer | Prophet

neutral_zpsyqv9vtx5.png She remembers her mother and a place but not for long, somewhere in shadows, seeped in mystery. She really isn't sure how much her mother cared. Yet, in the end, she was brought to her brother. He was darkness clothed in light and hiding from shadows his whole life. She never really matched his golden eyes. No, Aylin was a veil and darkness was where she listened to the whispers of magic. Night was when she was strongest. In the darkness with only the flickers of glowing crystals and candlelight her true home. She could have spent her whole life in twilight and been content. It was another who found her and honed her talents.

Aether, a fallen mage, an exile; where ever it was he left he never wished to return. He found her hiding away from her brother among a collection of taken crystals, staring into them as if to discern what it was she needed to do. He could see her potential and a found distraction in her. It was with him she found the way to pierce the veil between shadows and magic and bring forward her companions. Fairies; a quaint little name used to call them something simpler than what they were. They come to her through her pearl and whisper then their secrets for she is their doorway to the mortal realms. No one else can control them for they are but delicate wisps that soon dissolve into motes of light existing for only brief periods of time. It is through them she hears of prophesies, of spells and rituals. They can tell her a dragon's greatest secrets just as they can that dragon's fate. She chooses to not divulge to others what they hear. A lady, you understand, must maintain her secrets and Aylin is nothing if not a mystery.
