Castiel was born to a father who had other things to do, so he took after his mother, who is just as loving as he. She cherished him and encouraged him to do what he wanted more than anything else, to protect his clan from the Beastclans.

Almost immediately after he set off to find a clan to defend, Castiel came upon Lumenox. It was beset by the Beastclans-- a pink imperial and a frantic purple fae were hiding in a cave, terrified. Castiel grinned, puffed up his chest, and waltzed on in. "I will protect you!" he declared, and was promptly bowled over by a bumble flying past.

Only moments later, a pretty green nocturne swooped in to aid in the battle, closely followed by a grey imperial. Within seconds, they had laid waste to the attacking Beastclan hordes. The nocturne landed in front of Castiel with a slight flourish and helped him up. "My name's Nareena," she said, grinning. Castiel was instantly in love.

Castiel soon learned that Nareena and Naegling, the grey imperial, were mates, and his heart wilted a little, but his enthusiasm wasn't dented. He befriended both of them, and when all three of them became the Coliseum Triad, they grew even closer. As Nareena and Naegling's relationship grew strained and broke, he was there to bridge the gap and comfort them-- and when Nareena was ready to love someone again, well, he was there for that too.

Castiel is mated with Nareena. His best friends are Naegling, Luna, Elysia, and Freya.
