Ileana

Ileana serves as a priestess of Clan Azmaveth, helping to fulfill the Intercessor's will. While the Intercessor only speaks to the clan's Progenitor, Galan is always happy to share its wishes with the priesthood. Though technically subservient to the clan's High Priestess, Melora, Ileana is Galan's favorite and he often delegates responsibility to her. This has led to quite the rivalry between Ileana and Melora, each of whom resents the other.

At heart, Ileana is actually a very shy dragoness, and she finds others very intimidating. She detests conflict and does whatever she can to avoid it. She feels as though the best way to do this is to hide behind her position as a priestess and Galan's favorite. Ileana feigns a superior attitude that she doesn't really feel and acts with an authority that doesn't come naturally to her. She is afraid to open up about herself to others and wears her authority like a shell to keep her insulated. Because of her imperious attitude and the many favors she receives from Galan, she is very accustomed to getting her way and grows petulant when she does not get what she wants - particularly because it might mean some sort of conflict and she does not want to argue or fight with anyone.

Beneath her shell, Ileana is actually a very sweet dragoness. Though shy, she is also friendly - in that she wants people to like her and be her friends, but she is afraid to approach them. Hoping to gain the favor of others, she is a very giving and generous dragon who is always helpful - even if she does hold herself a bit apart and hide behind her authority. Part of the reason that Ileana detests conflict so much is that she absolutely hates seeing others in distress - physical or emotional. She would never want to be the cause of such distress; and when she encounters it in her clan-mates, she would do absolutely anything to alleviate it.
