Azazel
"Just surrender already, peasants!" Once upon a time, the plaguelings were shocked by some amazing event; A young pearlcatcher clawed his way up from the depths of the Wyrmwound. Most plaguelings didn't even dare come near the Wyrmwound, how could this dragon have survived being in there? The pearlcatcher proudly announced that he was Azazel, one of hell's greatest lieutenants, send to Sornieth to take over on behalf of his father, lord Satan. "Which one of you peasants shall serve under me in my conquest?" While shocked at first, the plaguelings, whom withstood many diseases and tragedies, soon fell into a state of laughter at hearing the words of the naive Azazel. This young lad? Conquering Sornieth? Suuuure... Not quite what Azazel had expected. And so the proud lad set out traveling around the wastelands, to find the army he needed to conquer Sornieth. After all, his father had forbid him from returning home before he finished the job. Azazel soon learned how harsh life in the plaguelands was, and how he was nothing impressive to the plaguelings. No one was wiling to join him in his conquest, in fact, he even had difficulties just staying alive. However being a skillful spy and assassin, he used his skills to come by food wherever possible. Despite being the laughing stock, Azazel never lost his pride. With lifted head he kept up his naive, bratty attitude, regarding others as lesser beings while he himself was devine. Until one day he passed by Tali's lair, hoping to convince a few of the members into joining him. Without avail, of course. However he found something he had never encountered before; the clan offered an extreme hospitality. He had never been treated so kindly, as he was offered a place to stay for the night. Ambrosia cooked up her best meal and spoiled him with motherly love, while Azazel got to play with youngsters his age. He had never known this warm feeling of family. He liked it so much, that he decided to stay there for the time being, realizing how his conquest wouldn't work out for the time being anyway, he'd lay in wait here until he had grown stronger and wiser to finish his job. Many years passed, as Azazel fulfilled his part in the clan by putting his spying and assassination techniques to use for the benefit of the clan, while training himself to become a better leader. Although even after growing up, he kept his naive, bratty attude for a major part. Despite being all serious and a hard worker during a job, so he'd probably actually make for a good lieutenant despite appearances. of course, he ended up staying and never fulfilling his conquest, up til now anyways. Ever since Azazel joined, he had a sort of rivalry with Gaia. A friendly dragon whom, to Azazel's ideas, was just a weak coward. He challenged her time after time, and yet she didn't fight back. She would only defend and try her hardest to not have either of them be harmed. He challenged her many, many times, but eventually her friendliness got to his heart, and he started to appreciate her. He saw strength in her kindness, and appreciated her ever since. Eventually, the two ended up falling in love. He's named after the fallen angel Azazel, who's supposedly Satan's son.
