    Ever the loner, the coatl sits attentive at the entrance to the lair. Having been abandoned as a child, she has grown accustomed to surviving on her own. Taken in by the cursed queen, she served as the manager of foreign affairs to nature clans. Now, she has decided on a new path, one that centers on leaving the only home she's ever known and training young dragons across Sornieth.

    Acedia is the wanderer, the exile of Fafnir, and the loner.

    Finding her alone in the snow one winter's night out on patrol, Bronte brought the near hypothermic coatl back to the clan to rest and warm up. When he found her, she had been in a rough right, and was missing many feathers, which soon grew back with time and care. The coatl was shy and unfriendly at first, speaking only to Bronte, who had been the one to nurse her back to health, and Alvyle, the Sovereign Mother of the clan who welcomed her to stay as long as she needed, and to join them if she liked. Acedia accepted after some time, but demanded to be usefull, and now accompanies the Clan's Sorceress and Fighter unit on missions against the beast clans. She has proved her worth and loyalty again and again, and has become a close confidant to Bronte, and he to her.

    Bronte was released from his duty within the clan when he felt the calling, the Tidelord reaching out to all of the clans, sending for fighters and healers and magicians alike. Acedia begged him not to go, or to at least take her with him, as she had fallen in love with the Storm Child. However, Bronte knew that he must go alone, and that the clan needed Acedia there to protect the clan. Theirs was a heartbreaking goodbye, as he left to serve a higher purpose and she wondered if she would ever see him again. Since he departed, she has been alone, and has become more stoic, painting herself in smoke and ashes in mourning.
