SABIA OTALICIA SEVERA DESPOINA
A top graduate in her academy in fighting arts, rather than the lineage of her blood allowed Sabia the position of Precincts official in the former Great Empire Sine Fine, where she took her duty seriously and sternly. In the wake of the collapse of the empire, her cantonment was seized by an outlying imperial lair reclaiming territory, and she capitulated to capture and reassignment.

Stripped of her title and sent to the furthest reaches of Empire Palster, the once-honored Sabia Despoina is now the decanus of the East Sea watch tower. There, she and her guardservant act as minor local officials, protecting the roads and solving small conflicts in the town of Beltier.

A position outside the action during the fall of the Empire Sine Fine afforded her a kinder exile to a polite cage in the heart of the Palster's oldest territories. But a cage it is, and Sabia is more aware than ever of the precarious nature of her useless birthright where it traps her, at risk from both her mistrustful new superiors and the enemies of the old Empire that may yet hunt her down.
