History:
Friends in Clan (and out): As a rule, he is well liked in the Clan though he is of course closest with his mate, Lazuli.

Enemies in Clan (and out): The resident mirrors, Wraith and Specter, can’t stand him. If they want to come home from patrolling with mud (or worse) on their claws, they will. And they will track it all over where he can see it just to watch him twitch.

Arrival in Clan: Born in the Clan, Lapis is the second oldest of Sinikka and Pekka’s brood. He is terribly glad he was born with the crackle gene rather than gembond. It’s a disease after all!

Significant Events: The day had finally arrived. The skydancer fluttered forward, his front paws tucked against his chest as he hovered in front of the Clan matriarch. He dipped his head and settled on his haunches in an upright position, “Lady Cassandra.”
Cassandra studied the youngster’s posture. She had overheard the teasing remarks directed his way because he had a tendency to avoid placing his front paws on the ground. She inclined her head to him, “Hello, young one. I understand you desire to stay in the Clan?”
“Yes,” his eyes were wide and earnest, “I know some dragons here…” his gaze drifted to the two mirrors squabbling over whether one had gotten more meat than the other, “some don’t really like me, and they make fun of me, but I’d rather stay where I know what I can do than go somewhere and not know.”
A hiss of, “Coward…” came from the corner and Cassandra’s head turned that direction with a fierce glare. Rather than look abashed, Specter and Wraith turned back to the scraps of their meal, laughing.
“I’m sure we have a place for you…” she trailed off as the youngster’s eyes went round and zeroed in on one of the newest members of the Clan, a young coatl who had arrived as a skydancer but a mixup by the interim Lorekeeper had resulted in the change.
There was a longing look in the young dragon’s eye when he turned back to Cassandra, “Is there any way...I mean…”
With a silvery laugh, she nodded and withdrew a shimmery scroll from the case, “As a matter of fact, there is.” When the light had faded from the spell, she smiled at the new coatl, “Welcome to your new life...Lapis.”

Other facts: Lapis is incredibly vain about his own appearance and strives to instill in new hatchlings the importance of scale and feather maintenance.

Alternate Flight (if any): Most likely Fire. Not only because it’s coatl homeland, but he does like him some shiny jewelry.
