Sacrament

.-.-.-.-.-.-.Many dead have been laid to rest by the single pearlcatcher in charge of the city's large graveyard. Sacrament is dedicated to her craft and fiercely believes that the dead should be given their proper final rites. Not only does she perform these rites, she is also in charge of maintaining the grounds which the dead reside in. Trims the grass, rakes the fallen leaves, cleans the headstones, and disposes of wilted flowers. All must be kept in order so that the deceased may rest in peace.

.-.-.-.-.-.-.After her long shifts Sacrament will typically retreat home to wash off the dirt and decay and sleep. In the mornings she runs down the market street to catch Kallias just as he's opening his shop, and will stick around to help him set up mannequins until she has to head back to work. Some days he visits her on his breaks and the two will have lunch on a bench outside of the dreary cemetery. Every now and then she finds herself dreaming of a time when she no longer works such a laborious and sometimes dirty job, when she can wear a dress designed just for her and enjoy a night out on the town with her partner. Sacrament would love to just go to the theatre and see a small play.

x	Kallias - Boyfriend .-.-.-.-.Kallias was always kind and sweet to Sacrament, and eventually she opened herself up to the idea that perhaps there's a connection there. The two have been happy enough. She has to admit, it's nice when he brings her flowers.

x	Rukmini - Friend .-.-.-.-.Sacrament's favourite little gossip, she simply enjoys listening to Rukmini rattle on about things she's heard and seen during her treks all over the city. It lets the pearlcatcher stay mostly in the loop without having to wander far from her work.

x	Sexteyn - Associate .-.-.-.-.Nights in the graveyard are long, and longer still when the fog rolls in. Sexteyn's lantern bobbing in the dark is an odd bit of comfort. The gaoler doesn't say a word, but at least she'll sometimes nod to acknowledge Sacrament's presence.
