"Adversity and loss make a man wise"

tumblr_inline_nk71b2JuyC1qg2i5p.png

Born with the name Velius, this young skydancer was trained to become an assassin much like his parents. Though he was small, he learned quickly how to use bladed weapons and defend himself in case of an attack. Little did he know, at the age of only 6, he would need all of this information.
His parents, being assassins themselves, royaly ****** off a group of assassins known only as "The Outlaws". These assassins took it upon themselves to kill both Velius's parents and him as well. The young boy hid from them, and they assumed him dead soon after they left. A boy with no parents was only to perish.
However, he survived. He ran from his village and spoke to no one ever again. He hid his face under a hood and mask, covering his whole body in rogue gear. He traveled and told no one his name. It had been so long, he had almost forgotten it. It was at this time that he changed his name to Vedius, not being able to remember what his name at birth was. He traveled all across Sornieth, staying mostly in Shadow land.
Vedius made it his goal to find and kill everyone in the organization that murdered his parents. He started off slowly, tracking them down one by one. Then he got better at it, good in fact. Perhaps, too good. He needed a partner, but he wasn't about to drag a living person into his battle. He found a large Coppercoil Creeper, whom he named Sprocket. Being with this large spider made him even more intimidating.
As he traveled, he learned to cook his own food and create his own toxins. He learned that Sprocket could be used to hold Bonepriest Venom, and bite his adversaries, killing them, mortally wounding them, or making them pass out depending on the amount he placed in his companion. The two traveled everywhere, never leaving each others immediate area of sight. It was at this time too, that Vedius learned engineering techniques. After all, if you're living with a giant sentient robot, you should learn how to fix them. He took to it quickly, and Sprocket never fell out of order again.
Shortly after killing a third of the organization, Vedius found that he was lonely. Sprocket didn't talk much, or really do anything other than skitter around and making gear grinding sounds here and there. He decided it was time to find someone to take solace in, perhaps a friend or something more. Up until now, he didn't exist to the rest of the world. He was supposed to be dead, after all. He signed up for a blind dating service, seeing no harm in meeting someone and probably never talking to them again.
Little did he know, he would end up with someone who's ideals were much like his own. He met an Imperial by the name of Diesel. Though he didn't originally see the date going anywhere, it actually did. The two agreed to date and work together on Vedius's original project.
