The Caretaker
(and Priest)

he who feeds the weak and helpless feeds the maws of the Wheel
As the primary caretaker of the clan's children, Leban is very popular with the other adults - as well as the little ones. He is a gentle, nervous creature, with none of the natural savagery of the mirrors. His adorable familiar Kina is just as friendly and often plays with the whelps alongside him. He also teaches various religious stories of a binary holy entity known as the Twin Wheel of Ash and Light, who he believes in with incredible faith.

He joined Basilisk's clan after a horrible trauma left him in neither the physical nor the mental state to continue his travels as a journeying priest, settling down with his partner-in-preaching Helia. Although his health has improved somewhat, it remains quite poor, and he no longer hunts, fishes, or scavenges, rarely leaving the lair at all (and never unattended.) He is asexual, although he has previously mated for the purpose of reproduction only, and he has devoted his life to the Wheel.

His closest friends are Alit, a friendly priestess of En-olios who saved his life when he was younger, and Saidiqi, another asexual follower of the Wheel who he has a very close but hard-to-define partnership with. Though he still enjoys Helia's company the two are not as close as they were when he was young, and there are rumors she may leave the Clan now that she knows he's safe.
