Biography
Devotio means devotion and zeal in latin, but it can also mean sorcery and curse
Devotio nearly went down the path of necromancy. The clan is very glad he settled for being a normal warlock. Perhaps with a bit of a violent streak. But no one wants another necromancer in the clan. Cosmose and Illani are more than enough.
Devotio and Azulin form the Rubeus Vanguard. The pair decided that the latin word Rubeus, which meant crimson, was fitting, seeing as it would be the prominent colour on whichever battlefield they joined. The two wildclaws were in a league of their own. The Rubeus Vanguard only consisted of two dragons not because they were elitist, but because the two are so in sync with the other's movements, just like two pieces of a puzzle. If any other dragon were to join them, they'd be ripped to shreds in the flurry of claws and teeth by Devotio and Azulin the moment they started battle.
Their vanguard was always sent out first, even ahead of the larger vanguards, during battles. The pair would charge through, creating a pathway of blood and bones in their wake. This surprises the enemy, upsets their tempo, breaks their formation, stirs up their warriors. Only then do the other troops of Crystallos Volatus descend on the enemy, going in for the kill.
