Biography
How do you care, cultivate and love a crop that you absolutely despise? One would have to ask Locke about that.
It is known that Locke grows some of the best mushrooms in the entire Labyrinth. He learned most of his trade while the clan endured the Scarred Wasteland, since where else do you learn about a fungus then a world wrought with rot and decay?
However, Locke hated Mushrooms. All Mushrooms. The taste of them, the texture of them, and on some days even the smell of them. So he relied on the clan to taste and offer feedback on the mushrooms. [One day he almost killed Kayori by accidentally feeding her a toxic mushroom]
It's a delicate science, Locke had to learn not only how to grow the fungi perfectly, but to ask the right questions to further perfect the taste and texture of the crop for those who loved Mushrooms.
As such, he has become quite the scholar. He has learned to enjoy asking questions about the world around him and seeking the answers to those questions.
Even more, he's become quite the teacher. He doesn't seek to teach, he just teaches those that make him feel a little more alive then he did yesterday.
