Biography

Role: Scapula's Harem, Pathogenist

Charge: Pathogen Collection

The denizens of Plague brew cultures of viruses and fungi as if they were fine wines. They are connoisseurs of infection, trading and coveting precious strains of bacteria, constantly adding to and delicately pruning their collection.

The pathogen that mars Hemophilia's hide is exquisite, exotic, and the Ossuary went to great lengths to secure him as their own. Now one of Scapula's most valuable consorts, Hemophilia enjoys a rather pampered existence in the otherwise rugged lair, passing on his genes and afflictions. It takes certain nutrients and environmental factors to keep the infection in prime condition, so its carrier is treated to a sumptuous and specific diet and given the most comfortable living space in which to rest. Hemophilia likes humidity without great heat, while also requiring good airflow to prevent stagnation and putrification. The resident Wind dragons are especially called upon to make sure the atmosphere in his vicinity is just right.

One might expect a dragon to resent the fact that they are intentionally kept ill, and that their affliction is more prized than they as an individual are, but Hemophilia doesn't seem to mind. His job is an obnoxiously easy one, and he is rather spoiled because of it. Eat, sleep, and stud. His affliction must not be causing him great pain or discomfort, as he frequently spends his time socializing--whether or not the object of his attention would appreciate his company. All he asks is that no one tampers with the object of his protection-- the bacteria and other pathogen cultures that he tends in precious pools and farms around the lair.
