(Ancient Warrior) "There are many gates into the undercity, but few ways out." 
An ancient warrior from the dark days, Serena's spoken language is an older form than most can understand. Serena had been travelling a long time to find dragons that could understand her speech. Many of her old friends and family had long since moved on, leaving her caught forever in the past. She considered joining the Plaguebringer to quell her aching heart once and for all, but as she stood by the Wyrmwound, ready to give herself up, she heard a weird cracking sound similar to a whip and a terrified screech. She looked around, and caught a flash of white scales shimmering against the side of the pit. Serena called out and swooped down in time to catch the struggling wildclaw as her bleeding claws gave out. Serena needed no thanks from the wildclaw, who introduced herself as Hollow, as this was what she had needed. She turned and bade her farewell and good luck, a new energy having sparked within her. If this dragon, so close to death and with no use of her wings, could find the needed energy and fire to carry on, then so could she. It was by chance that Serena found the travelling dragons in the abiding boneyard. Worn down, beaten, and exhausted after having been torn apart by another clan, she offered the weary travellers a place to rest by her side. She wasn't a particularly large dragon for her species, but she was strong while they weren't. It was obvious that these wanderers weren't sure if they could trust her, but they had no choice. They collapsed in a heap on all sides of her, looking for warmth and rest. When they awoke, she offered to accompany them to their destination. Eagerly accepting, they quickly added her to the ranks of the clan and she made friends with fellow ancient of the past Kismet, reveling in the fact that they spoke the same language. Many years later, the very same wildclaw that she had saved from the pit returned. Serena nearly couldn't contain her excitement and the three of them bonded, enjoying their days as friends. |
